http://www.majesty2.com/ An updated site, with samples of the music in the Downloads section. Excellent music by the way - perfectly fitting for the game, absolutely perfect. Well worth a listen. From the looks of it, a major push is being given to make Majesty 2 something worthy. Excellent... (wrings Evil hands)
IMO Erebus is still a bit OP. You obviously cant use him right if you think he is UP. Been using him for a long time and it feels like nothing has changed except his spike damage has been slightly reduced...
Thus far I agree with you (not that he is overpowered, but that the character is far from crippled). Only slightly less effective in melee. Still plays about the same for me (which is quite acceptable).
Cool. Eventually I`ll get some of my group to partake of Sins campaigns, especially with that great Save feature. Sounds like Ironclad are holding the second expansion close to their vests this time. I`m looking forward to beholding the thing perhaps without any prior beta testing... . We will see how impatient I get! I wonder when they`ll start taking pre-orders for it... Holy crap Annatar11... you have the Mother Of All Karma Collections... a vast trove of Karma...<
I`m hoping more music might get added as Downloadable Content is released. The audio half (okay... third in the case of games) of the experience could be updated along with the rest (!). I still love the ominous theme from the title screen of the first beta (which I wisely recorded...).
Offering an option to more adequately/easily play with friends and otherwise good sports is worthwhile. I support this.
https://forums.stardock.com/346527/#2203494 Just found that link. Neverminding. (Unless there are any corrections to be made.) Just in time too - my typing is deteriorating markedly (up too long...).
Hey - got ya! I can ignore my own new post in the Demigod forums proper now!... (eyes roll)
hmm that would proberly be such a op character espically if it made the skills comeout in like the wrong order like it switchs the rain of ice with the switch to fire
No no no, You misunderstand! I`m talking about if you scroll up with the mouse wheel, you track left, or if you press the attack button, you bring up the Chat window! (grin) (just kidding, in case of seriousness)
How about a Demigod who can scramble other players` controls ? Isn`t that a great classic mechanic? (Heh heh heh) (ducks)
Greetings, I`m trying to find track titles for the music soundtrack in the Collector Edition of Demigod (which I of course possess). I utilized the search on the forums only to wind up with an Internet-wide search that returned fairly un-useful information. I assume as well that track titles have never been produced within the Demigod forums... I am assuming, I could be wrong. Any information from Mr. Mostrom would be ideal. Course, it is possible that the themes have never be
What is the latest scuttlebutt on Sins these days? Any more details on the next entries in the series? Eta or progress on the second expansion? The nature of the third expansion? Just wondering. I`m anticipating a return to Sins realms myself as I ensnare a new player in it all.
So, anything new in the realm of the forthcoming Majesty ? I personally haven`t heard anything for some time - game-wise been mostly living in L4D, Demigod, and FEAR 2 Lands...
I thought the CE was infinitely available. Interesting.
Too many players in a game like this and you`d wind up with just an unintelligible mash. I think the game works best in 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 play.
I do not agree with the combination of changes/decreases made to Erebus` Bite. I believe a decrease in damage, life drain, armour reduction, AND an increase in energy cost is too much. That last one in particular, because it takes a skill that is now less effective and makes it harder to use as frequently as Erebus needs to use it. However, I`ll take it for a spin and see how things go. I *am* glad that Bite still has a batch of effects. I don`t believe it fair to say that G
I`d still like to see my Death King.
Time limitations generally suck... going through the effort of making room, downloading the archive from 'X' server after jumping through registration/ad hoops of various natures, then installing the (inevitably massive) thing is not to be rewarded by finite play time. I`d bet money that the allure of playing as another 6 to 9 (!) Demigods will be plenty of temptation for people to upgrade to the full version. Moreso if they get to play against such characters, but not as the
I`m thinking something more resident and launched from your system locally though, as opposed to having to be activated/bidden forth by a remote network (assuming I understand things properly).
It has been mentioned several times that you can unblock/unlock port 'X' and port 'Y' to help facilitate Demigod play, by running a certain Impulse .exe. I am wondering if it would be possible to simply have Demigod itself run this program at start-up, unblock/unlock/enable these necessary ports, and then return them to their previous state (whatever that was) once Demigod is shut down.
Game moderators and a functioning Friends list should eventually help things. I know - I personally play out even a terrible scenario ( i.e. even when things don`t go my way). Call me old-fashioned, but its good sportsmanship.
For the demo I would allow a single map, 2 or 3 Demigods playable (Rook for sure), skirmish against A.I., and Custom multiplayer. Not allowing any type of saingleplayer mode would hurt new recruiting... some people, myself included, definitely prefer to learn a game in a non-competitive non-multiplayer environment. The map chosen should likely be Cataract. Definitely not Brothers - that map is too cool for a mere demo. Maybe allow play *against* other Demigod types as
I wonder if the friendly A.I. would grab an allies` dropped Item... never tried that...
GFW Live is a heaping pile of dog shit.
Sometimes English transcends the conventional and becomes art... Eloquent and to the point. Heh heh heh. Sorry. (grin)
But I'm not personally aware of anything that most people would consider serious in Demigod beyond network-related issues.
The proximity/ability bug... when the Demigod is too close to the target being clicked on (when utilizing an ability), causing the Demigod to cease ALL activities and just stand there rather than automatically moving to the nearest 'legal' position/orientation from which to use s
Interesting info. Thanks for it, as usual. I would appreciate some type of feedback from the game/matchmaking software itself - accurate feedback, that is - as to what is wrong (if anything) with my system. I have knowledge of gaming, of my system, of typical software quirks, but I am by no means a techhead: getting a diagnostic of a problem on my specific end would be helpful. As well as pointers on how to fix it. I know that could be substantial in terms of coding.
