Considering that we haven't even been exposed to the functions and abilities of Generals, I would hold off such criticisms. I'm going to assume that Generals do not behave purely as RTS-like command units, as you suggest. Regardless, you shouldn't draw conclusions until GPG releases more details.
Criticisms these are not - these are suggestions. As I stated, " Fro

The Precise Nature Of Command I had an interesting thought occur to me regarding A.I. command in this unusual and fantastic rts game. What if Demigods who had the capacity to directly command t
Developer Perspective We have all read about how Demigods will be of two categories: Assassins like the current crop of Demigods in the beta, and the as yet unseen Generals. From some of what I have read, it seems that the Assassins are bereft of the more conventional direct-command
Another possible moniker - DuMalion The Elder ("The Elder") Vampire Lord and The Oak? Sounds intriguing.
Haha, well it's good to see that the testers are so vigilant here.
Making a duplicate bug report is better than running the risk of missing one. I say report away if you may be in doubt.
A game I am greatly looking forward to is Left4Dead from Valve. Their Steam system is offering pre-orders, which I would avail myself of *if* I received a hard copy of the game. As it is, I would not, therefore I refuse to order . I will never entrust some digital domain

Skirmish Demigod Selection Demigod needs to maintain a randomized default setting for choice of opponent Demigods in skirmish games - it takes time to manually adjust such settings, time which ought to be taken up playing the game instead. Manual intercession ought to be reserved for when I disagree with those defaults, o
Looks & sounds good. Can`t wait for the release, as well as for more info on the next expansions. Btw, what are the specs for the system that demo was running on? I`d be curious for comparison to my own (including the resolution display setting of the monitor)?
I realize that a service such as a company-provided server system costs money and cannot therefore be provided in perpetuity, especially for non-blockbuster titles (contrast the Sierra listings to Blizzard`s StarCraft for example), but then again this ought to be the most obvious of arguments for not tying core functionality to external apparati.
I believe I have a good name for him, although evaluation of such a name would be dependant upon the combination of name-to-visuals: Old DuMalion. Old DuMalion The Old King His appearance would be as an aforementioned Ringwraith, ancient brown cloth covering skeletal limbs. Possible, anyway.
Alot of times someone suggests an ability or mechanic on these forums and it gets shut down because it doesn't fit into the game we've been given. The thing is that if the ability is good enough and adds enough to gameplay it should be in the game, regardless of whether we can find it in the LUA files or the listed demigods. This will be more relevant in Beta 2, but it's good to look at ideas and see how they *could* work. <br
Just a follow-up to my comments pertaining to the tying of products to the companies that publish them. Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 have to be THE worst/best examples of the sort of thing I am diametrically opposed to. Before I can even change my Options (!!!!!!!!!) I MUST successfully register with one of EA`s online servers. Ev
So you have RA work like the superweapons. You activate RA and pick a target system. The allied fleet arrives, gets it's marching orders, and ONCE it gets to the target system starts attacking. If you can not find a way to use that to your advantage, you kind of suck. It allows you, if you use it properly, to field a larger fleet than your opponent. Yes you have to pay for them and no, you won't get direct control,
How do you know what the Queen Of Thorns can do? She isn`t in a Beta. As for the ability not being tied to a character, I imagine a circumstance where the developers - assuming they like what they read - have freer reign to apply as they see fit. If it serves a developer purpose to do so, I would be receptive to hearing from the developers what suggestions or ideas and

If at all, something that is by default destroyed (i.e. Off). I do not have any difficulty whatsoever pulling out to view the landscape... this should be especially painless for alumni of Supreme Commander. To me a minimap is redundant given the utility of this game engine.

Obviously I disagree with those who believe that more varying elements would be unacceptable in multiplayer. To the developers I say this: I hope that you will consider things such as these for at least single-player. Its going to be fairly easy to exhaust a static & wholly predictable array of game elements in single-player, and I hope a nod will be given to those who will be playing this game primarily in that mode if nowhere else (
A software publisher should not have the right to fundamentally alter the nature of a transaction that is essentially a sale, simply by drafting a document in the box and suddenly calling it a "license". As far as I'm concerned, I am buying the right to use the product however I damn well please, provided it is not in a manner which violates copyright. Furthermore, I have this right in perpetuity or until I transfer that right to another individual. The selle
