Messiah1 (the munkeh) is a great dock skinner and willistuder is too ...they give excellent advice. These guys are very friendly and do magic with their dock setups. Don't be shy, email them!
Doc--you've got to stop spreading vicious rumours about me. I'm not a skinner, honest.

Well, this is a big surprise for me. I've caused more trouble than being helpful. Thanks a lot, and congratulations to everyone. Enjoy your trip through the Great White North.
That one still requires a Weather Underground logo, but it's on the pop up information page. No registration required, though.
Thanks, and that's great news.

I'm confused about what you get in the BUNDLE as well. However, let me highly recommend getting ObjectDesktop, because you get ICONPACKAGER, which will change all your system icons, and DESKTOPX, which enables you to use widgets, gadgets and desktop themes. Some of these are weather tools, system metrics and so on. With a DesktopX theme, you can pretty well eliminate the need for the start menu. The great advantage of these two programs is that your WindowBli
1) I've got OD+ but would really like to get rid of the tabbed dock but don't see that option - am I just blind (possible, I admit) or do I have to edit a file somewhere? 2) Is it possible to have two docks along the same side of the display - so 1 dock in the upper left, 1 in the upper right? 3) Besides WinCustomize, are there any quality places to find docklets or object icons? 4) I have the free version of OD on another computer,
Working on a NOAA/wunderground hybrid that's around 80%:
This looks promising--no logos or links. Is registration necessary for this? I'm still of the mind that I'm not going to use any widget that requires me to register, or that has logos and links on it. I might get desperate enough if I want a widget that matches the skin I'm using, but I doubt it; I'll just keep using Weatherlab 7. I imagine that a l
Here's an idea that would be cool if possible for a start menu animation, have the startmenu seem to rollup from the taskbar using the gears and pulley's and whatnot. That would be sweet.
Is that possible?

That looks right to me. It was like two skins, either of which would look good, although I prefer the rounded corners much more. I think the corner pieces help a lot, as well. The bar looks a lot better too.
There needs to be room for the buttons, and the system icon and the titlebar text. I don't want to suck up 30% of the monitor space with the design, leaving an annoyingly small window to actual function, ya know what I mean?
I was wondering about that myself, and all I could think of was reducing the width of the "pipes". It's such a nice piece of work that it would be nice to see it all

I like #2 the best of the two, but I think the window should be consistent with the start menu; that is use the rounded pipe to join the two different elements, and add whatever else to that basic structure.
Quoting willistuder, What build are you running then? Because as far as I know there hasn't been a stable update in 2 & a bit years...hmmm...
It's version 1.90., build 535. The last update was October 24, 2008. I only got it recently through Impulse, which was unusable for me until I got high-speed internet (and don't laugh).

I bought ObjectDock Plus two years ago, and I just got an update. I think there is no time limit on ObjectDock Plus. It's going to be upgraded to version 2.0 soon, so they may change the update policy. I can't live without my docks; you can have shortcuts to everything instead of having to double-click on folders over and over again until you get to where you want. It will keep your desktop clean of icons as well. Just drag them onto a dock. Use tabbed docks to organize your shortcuts. Good l
Do you have any suggestions or things you would like when it comes to the window?
I'm pretty useless when it comes to suggestions, but I think using the frame on the start menu minus the gears and whirligigs might look pretty interesting. I love the colors. This really looks like a great leap forward for you. I hope that this turns into a suite.
