Not sure how they don't want to answer when the stickied thread is there and they've discussed this in another thread before as well. https://forums.elementalgame.com/364793 Seems to boil down to how if you can run the beta right now with none of the final game graphics in it, good for you. But don't plan on being able to do so on a card that's 5-6+ years old when the later betas or full game comes out. SM3 is dirt cheap now. Insisting on being able to play o

Did so, but just used the fogbugz error reporting system since I had a crash report to send in anyway.
Was just about to create a thread on this myself. Same thing just happened to me.
I knew what was going to happen with the sun from just the preview the week before. That is some pretty terrible writing right there. Top it off with how not only did the ship have reserves, but enough to probably dwarf what a ZPM puts out considering they literally submerged into the star. How hard would it have been to write that they approached within a few thousand miles of the star and recharged with the intense radiation and heat even at that distance? Have to
You may want to just convert the game info folder to text and update yourself.
Definitely a possibility and something I might try. Just wanted to point out that if you simply delete those two folders, you also end up with a 0 checksum mod that can be used online with others that don't use the mod and it won't cause problems.
I can confirm that. Solution for now is to delete GameInfo and Mesh files from the mod as sometimes had to be done in the past. Loaded up a game to make sure stats were right, but I didn't test for errors. Should work fine however.
Least they can figure out how to private message. I hear IGN still gets e-mails from older folks or confused people telling them off for how their game sucks or asking for patches. [e digicons]:dur:[/e]
Downloading now. Much appreciated. Can't test tonight, but I'll try tomorrow for a second opinion.
I'm thinking of starting to play again, so great revisions there Amish. Appreciate it. Only thing I see offhand is you might need to reverse the order of the armor numbers between LRMs and Illums, but I could be just reading what you wrote incorrectly. Read one of my really old posts and made me curious, how is the state of TEC flak in 1.04 now? Do they fare better as a force you can send into the middle of an enemy pack as it sounds like you do with Illums, while yo
Instead, it's far better to make it so while you may not have iron, you've got something equally profound but in a different direction. Perhaps you have a node of fire, which lets you cast powerful fire spells instead. And you end up building armies with flaming copper swords instead of iron weapons.
Basically what I was getting at and really the way I'd like to see the game unfold. It will be quite boring if every sovereign has access to the same resources, but c
I keep thinking that it’s better to have more resources than fewer. I’d love to hear how others feel about this.
As I recall there was some talk of mythical beasts, dungeons or other things that you wouldn't see every game and in fact might be quite rare. While mundane resources like wood, iron, etc. should always be on maps in some quantity, I would be most pleased if rare resources with strange properties appeared, varying your choices of what equipm
If it's intentional, so be it, but I would certainly like to see regular units accrue experience through battle and become more effective, even if only slightly.
Option 4 for sure here. One thing I wouldn't mind explored however is some more stats for units. STR/DEX or AGI/STA or CON/INT or MAG Base values for Attack and Defend could be derived from weapons and armor respectively. STR would increase attack of course, but could also do other things like allow move movement while wearing heavy armor. DEX or AGI would add evasion of attacks into the combat and also increase number of attacks and precision possibly. S
Not sure if it's going to stay that way, but units I've designed already show up in the next skirmish I try.
Nah, it's not very clear in the game. I almost posted it as well in the first beta release before figuring out how to equip by accident when I had more than one ring on a unit.
Not a bug. You have to double-click the ring to equip it for the max hp of the unit to increase.
Option C I guess, but to avoid constant messages about substitutions being made, I'd rather have the ability to allow the computer to just auto-equip troops of your design with the closest weapon/armor if the gear you chose is unavailable. Ditch rings, healing items, any other accessories if not available. Here's what I'd like to see using Draginol's unit example. Materials like mithril, iron, leather, wood, etc. would have stockpiles in every city with access to th
I checked Dell for you but it seems your graphics driver is newer than the one they have available. Your sound driver is about 8 months out of date though, just to let you know. I'd suggest to run SpeedFan and chart the temps you're getting up to when the error occurs, but heat really doesn't sound like the cause at all. Looking at your pastebin, I see you're running at 1024X768 on a 1280X1024 monitor. Try increasing to your monitor's native resolution as well.
https://forums.elementalgame.com/364302
Elemental will require a DirectX 9.0c video card. While it currently uses Shader Model 2 only and will probably work on DirectX 9.0 a/b cards, we will not be guaranteeing that it will. I'd like to try it out myself. Thanks.
Can't reproduce reliably either, but had it happen in my one game since the update. Difference was that no matter where I moved it simply would not let me enter that territory and declare war. Went after another Sovereign's lands just fine though.
190.62 is the latest version for your card, but you're running 190.38. Since that's not an ancient driver, I'm guessing that's not your problem, but it's still something to check out I guess.
Yes, more frequent updates are definitely the way to go. I'd do more testing, but between myself and the multitude of others hammering at it, the bug list seems pretty exhaustive right now. When the game's stripped of almost all features, there just isn't that much to report on after a few days besides the fact that it's missing content everywhere, heh.
kryo beat me to it, but the GeForce 6 series with 3.0 support came out back in 2004. If you haven't updated your graphics card in over five years, you're due for an upgrade.
I don't really want to see natural regen out in the field unless it's being granted by an item, first aid skill, or resting at some ruins or constructed fort/campsite. Magic of course being another option, but I was just limiting it to basic units. If you've chosen to go adventuring in the wild, it should be an incentive to return to town to rest up and heal. A sovereign of whatever faction ends up possibly being connected to life magic could be an exception, possessing an
