If you go to the AltMeta and click on your empire, you can see who has submitted games recently at least. Sentient species taste better...

And now over 250k! :D Sentient species taste better...
Hi Quorth, I dont think Cypher has been around for quite a while, so this thread probably wont be getting updated. Sentient species taste better...
Just emailed the files to you, atlas7d. ;) Sentient species taste better...
atlas7d, I did find the Kzinti race files and am sending it to your email. :) Sup1001, such a tiny morsel is beneath the notice of a mewling Kzinti kitten! But welcome to the Metaverse, in any case. ;) Sentient species taste better... &n
Hey Gmooni, thanks for the info. :) TWR is one of my favorite games...I just bought a new gaming pc, so I need to re-install all my games. Civ5 is first on my list for new games! Hi atlas7d. I'll check my old computer and see if I still have the files on there. <span style="font-size:
I agree with the primary point of the OP, that expanding in the game serves very little purpose that is not self-justifying. As long as I can grab enough gold mines, I dont really need cities for anything else. I can prowl the map with a stack of heroes blasting anything in my path, and research everything in the tech and spell trees that I want, with just a very few well-placed cities. The only other significant reason to expand is territory-denial to AIs you are not curren
I would suggest waiting til the next release too.
Congrats SirPleb! [e classic]:congrat:[/e] Welcome to the club! :D Sentient species taste better...
It is definitely very aggravating.
I rate the AI as very weak. To win the game I have to use virtually no strategic thinking. Running around with one stack of champions works every time. Sometimes I'll have 2 stacks, but that is simply to make it faster, not easier. Overall the effect is that it is pretty boring.
GaelicVigil, I think your arguments about Impulse are pointless. The last point made about needing a browser to download anything, is cogent. Taking this illogic even further, by your thinking, running your machine on Windows is a form of DRM upon any software because you cant play your games without it. Needing computer chips to run your computer is DRM, etc, etc. Maybe you are ideologically opposed, but ideology in the absence of logic is pure foolishness.
Here you go JimKnopf: City razing is in fact automatically "on". You have to manually select the option to turn it off. But no, you cant abandon existing cities, which is rather annoying and lame.
I second your suggestion. It was quite fun to custom-design your own weapons in MoM.
This is getting ridiculous ! Civ IV I bought from the bargain bin and it was even worse. You even could not raze cities that did not fit in your scheme.
In one of the game setup options is the ability to raze cities or not. Apparently you didnt spend much time with Civ IV. ;)
I'm finding some strange mana anomalies after the last update too: 1. Sometimes heroes that have not used any mana, suddenly lose all of it between one battle and the next. 2. Sometimes my heroes stop regenerating mana. A reload or entering a city fixes this. With the already desperately low mana-regen, these are some of the most aggravating bugs so far.

I really would like a road-building unit, rather than only have roads where determined by the game, when making a trade route between cities.
Quoting Valentine82, reply 105No one ever mentions this, but can we please get the AI Diplomacy fixed so that the AI doesn't constantly pester us to go to war with our friends and allies?A bit annoying, yes -- but isn't backstabbing your friends a staple of 4X? Maybe this is one of those things where different people prefer different gameplay. For me it's the "constantly" part -- I find AI requests come rather more frequently than

I started three more games, and there were still zero elemental shards on any land that I explored. One of my main gripes with the game is that magic is rather weak. This bug(?) makes it even weaker. In fact, the entire game can be played successfully without magic; just over-run everyone with mundane units. I think I'll put the game down for now, and wait for more fixes and tweaks. There are too many things that dont work as intended, or are simply disap
I encountered a couple issues I had not had before the 1.07 patch. 1. Random crashes to desktop, usually when the turn is processing. 2. Low number (or none at all!) shards are generated on the map. My current game has 1/2 the map revealed and no shards at all.
This happens to me too. I can only play one tactical battle, and then if I try to do another, get the white fog screen. If I auto-resolve, the game has a serious slow-down, and I have to exit the game and get back in.
Well, that is probably true, although there is not much activity to begin with. Taking a look at the AltMeta at least, we have about 3 times the activity as all other active empires combined. I know that there are people playing not in empires, and not listed on the AltMeta too though. Check out my latest ZYW. :D <a href="http://www.mypicshare.com/vqrpalptpic.h
Since someone asked, I think this is probably my best score for ending on April 8th: Sentient species taste better...
Broke 240k finally! I was quite lucky with some beneficial things happening in the course of the game. Sentient species taste bett
