I think what will end up happening is that you will have to modify the planet files to change the characteristics of the planets (such as how many resources/asteroids, upgrade levels etc) but that the mod system will allow you to distribute these easily without uninstalling etc. This isn't the final word, but that's how it looks at the moment.

It can only be the texture loading if it only happens when you start up your first game. If it happens at different times, it has to be something else. Do you by any chance have any movie players or animations open at the same time? I've had trouble when using it with youtube, etc. Do you have "use hardware sounds" on? If you do, try with it off. Software mixing is much more reliable.

Hey Rhaw, Sounds like eet might be on the right track there. Try disabling background texture loading in the user.settings file (in your application data folder) and see if that helps.

Hey Rossy, I'm not sure about the pixel problem (maybe one of the other devs can comment) but it seems to be quite common in many sound cards that hardware sound buffers aren't very well supported. That's why the default is to use software, which is only marginally more expensive and doesn't sound any different. Cheers

Fixed bug even. lblarel: we're aware the networking layer still needs a bit of love. If you continue to have issues with lockups, check the network status screen (F3) and see what it has to say. Thanks!

DatonKallandor: Next patch will make it easier to toggle between them, hopefully this will give you maximum control over what you're looking at. TokenSDragon: ZTC recenters the zoom focus position when zooming out. I don't like that zooming in and out loses the focus either; it was originally implemented without this recentering, but for various reasons it ended up being really awkward, so the tradeoff was made.

@ Scorpiana: If you put your important planets in a hotkey group, you can select them easily and thus have them show up in the tree

- Turning the music volume down doesn't seem to work the default is a little too loud for my tastes. Did you click apply changes? None of the sound options change unless you do. FYI: I think the volume levels have been tweaked a little, let me know if it's not better next patch.

RemielX: if V and B are working properly, the game is having trouble getting input from your mouse. Do you have that problem when scrolling in a web-browser? any apps running that might be changing the mouse input? Annatar: in the user.setting file, you can change the autostrafe area size, so it will be easier to trigger edge-of-screen-scrolling. It is set quite small by default because we expect the majority of people to play in fullscreen mode.

np DroneFragger, it's good to have solutions posted in case somebody else has the same problem. lordkosc, definitely a bug. were you zoomed way out? Ron, I'll see about that sensitivity setting for the next patch.

moloTov: turn off the Zoom To Cursor by pressing M or using the button on the top of the HUD. If Zoom To Cursor is on, it will zoom whereever your cursor is. beemer: I haven't seen a stop/superzoom problem before do you have any idea how to make it happen?

DroneFragger: as a temporary measure, try using the z,x,c buttons. Does your scroll work normally in web-browsers, etc? SE-Weed: The next patch should include some fixes to make it easier to select things with planets behind them, but for now you should be able to get around it by just rotating the camera slightly so the planet isn't behind the object and then zooming. Looking down on the planet grav well also makes it easier. Edit: For those of you who have trouble
