I've basically been functioning on auto pilot. I've done this for about 5 years. That is over. I've decided to shake up my life and challange myself. This means new eating habits, new life habits, and possibly new employment. I'm in a rut, things are the same, without realing improving. I'm not sad, I'm not happy, just in neutral. I'm not

I've tried to find good tv. I've tried to find good movies. OK.. A trip to find a good book sounds like a good deal. Daytime tv isn't that big a deal as I'm not home but one week day a week. But the prime time tv selection isn't worth looking at. OK the strike is over, but still the shows that will come back will take a while. I firmly believe renting some goo

My daughter grew up watching movies with me. She loves the old musicals, Cary Grant, John Wayne, Clark Gable, and all the hollywood STARS.. I mean the Golden Era of Hollywood. I love the old movies, and there are very very few movies that can match the Golden Era...

lately there seems to be a lot of old movies on tv. I guess it is due to the strike. From what I understand about the strike, the writers are upset they aren't getting enough money, so they put a lot of other people out of work. Make sense.. NOT There are some movies I haven't seen in years. They are enjoyable, entertaining, and some exciting are playin

Glad you are able to keep some soup down, & that it actually tasted good. Hope your strength continues and you're back on that endless ribbon soon.

Hang in there.. hopefully by Monday you'll feel human. No offense, but I hope I don't catch it. I'm avoiding going out in public as much as possible, and steralizing my work station every day. Hope you get to feeling human soon.

I'm craving home made cookies. The kind I made a few weeks ago. They have everything but the kitchen sink in them. They have coconut, oatmeal, chocolate chips, crushed corn flakes, etc. They are great. I am craving snacks, and hate the price of store bought cookies. I want something that I know the ingredients are basic without a lot of fillers. These c

If you can get to a Dr. you don't want it getting worse than it already is. You know the drill.. Take care of yourself.

When I saw the Dr. yesterday, I had mentioned i was having trouble sleeping.. like falling asleep at 5 am when I have to get up at 5:15. So, he put me on some sleeping pills for a short while till I get back to sleeping normally again. Tonight I looked at the label. It states : Caution: May cause Drowsiness. May cause Dizziness. I reread it aga

My daughter was surprised as heck when she was a SR. and I could pick out all the cool clothes. I would smile, and say thanks. Little did she know I had worn almost the same styles when I was a Sr. Now, it has started all over again. I was looking at kids clothes, and the styles are so much like what I dressed my daughter in it was scary. My daughter h

Glad to hear you're doing as well as can be expected. Glad they knew who dropped the trailer w/out putting it on a 4x4... They should be tarred & feathered. Too bad about your late fee, if you could, you might at least try online bill paying, it does help at times. I was tired of paying late fees when I mail my payment 2 weeks ahead of time. Have a safe trip home.. hope the wether improves..

Last night I received a call from my granddaughter. I answered the phone, I thought it was my daughter. it was.. but she simply said my granddaughter wanted to talk w/ me. She handed the phone to my granddaughter, and she & I talked about 3 minutes. For a 3 yr old, that is a fairly long conversation. She said she missed me, she had a boo boo, and her brother is w

I'll admit it, I love football. i prefer it to basketball, base ball, any other sport. The season is too short, imho. I love my Sunday's, where the football games rule the tv. now, today, there are 2 games, the conference championship games. Then, in 2 weeks, superbowl. I have my snacks already lined up. I have never missed part of a superbowl

It snowed yesterday and last evening. It is sooo beautiful. I have the luxury of sitting in my home, watching tv,and relaxing. I can look out and see the beauty of it. I hear on the news the problems it caused, none of which I would wish on anyone. Ilove to see the peacefulness the snow brings. It seems to bring out a quietness. I do hate the fact that

I totally agree. I do know that the next time I go there, I'm asking for him... I was told a little kindness goes a long way.. what happened to manners? Oh well, I'm going practice what I preach, and be sure to remember how not to be.

I am glad i didn't do the load wrong. I wouldn't blame you for going for breakfast. I think the one who screwd up the loading should have to face you and correct it to your specifications before you had breakfast. I highly doubt he/she would do it again. Good luck.. hope you have eaten and the load straightened up by now.

Yesterday for lunch I wanted something warm and simple. Red lobster has a great soup & salad for under $7.00. Perfect for what I had in mind. I was seated, and given my menu, and was told my waiter would be here soon. I settled down, started reading my book, and relaxed. The couple just across from me was being waited on for their order. They were 2

It's awesome! Your creative abilities are so prevelent! It looks awesome! Do you write down your designs, as in charting them.. or just wing it? lol, 'One woman even told me that she used to teach knitting, which I thought was cool, and then a moment or two later pointed to one of my stitch markers and asked "What's that for?". Ummm, yeah, taught knitting huh?" She was just trying to impress, lol but bragging about knitting is a new

I'm trying to find something worth while on tv. It is almost impossible. The choices are very very nil. The cartoons shown are not what I grew up on. All the silly tv ads, selling all kinds of fairly useless things. A few old classic movies, but nothing outstanding. Thank goodness for tivo.. I've recorded a bunch of shows from the week, thank g

Now it's raining, overcast, and dreary, Due to continue through weekend. Perfect. I'm going to be knitting, watching tv, and totally kicked back. I might get out some old receipes

It's been a long week. But, it's over. Now it's back to routine. I've started on my spring cleaning.. I like to do that at the first of the year to clear the decks. This weekend I'll start getting things ready for the tax returns.. and organizing and putting things in the file cabinet to sort and keep things simple for the rest of the year. I've put it o

That sucks... you finally get a load & its a wreck that can't be hauled. But, on the plus side at least you have your knitting. You are so great at experimenting at things, that kind of adventure isn't me.. but I'm in awe of those that it is. Stay safe.. and I hope you get a load fast... Stay warm, and keep knitting... you inspire a bunch of us!
