how about same-sex for the future??!?
There is a work-a-round for this, create your sovereign (we will use females for this , but it works both ways). Go to the .xml file for said sovereign, and edit the line that defines her as female to male. Now you have a female that can marry a female. Your children will always be females whether they be sons or daughters. This is how I created my Amazon Kingdom. For my Kingdom of Sodom I actually changed Janusks file to make him f

Trade ships that trade harbour to harbour would be sweet. But then again, they would have to teach the AI to build harbours.I have never seen any harbours but my own.
Aye, this is why I continue to support the Stardockians, they don't give up. They just kepp plugging away, till they make it work.
What about all my hard work? I play and bitch, play and bitch, that isn't easy, you know! No thanks at all!
As for you, Lord Xia, for all your playing with bitches, I mean playing and bitching, may I present you with 'Janusk from the Kingdom of Sodom', enjoy many fine hours with him and his corn eyed children.
I've seen a couple of people have this rather extreme reaction to this thing..
True, it's not hard to install the game twice to seperate directories (one for betas and one for released). That way, if your internet connection is down, you can still play. But that would entail forethought, a commodity sadly lacking in most.
How about something like this. They come to you and say " The Kingdom/Empire of Whatever (most likely one of your neighbors) has come to us and offered us money/materials/crystals ... in exchange for our metal. Since you helped us before, we offer you you this chance to make a better offer." Making the better offer gains you a diplomatic bonus, declining gets a diplomatic penalty.
Exactly, if you retake an allies city, it sure would be nice to be able to let them have it back. Just think what Europe would look like now, if after WWII nobody gave back the cities that were liberated. As it is now, I park an army outside a conqured town (large enough to take it in a single battle) , send in a hero ( an assassin is best), have her/him stand near a retreat zone, us a bow to kill one or two enemy soldiers at a time, and retreat just before he can be attacked (they
Yep, the betas do have to "call home". The true release don't. Your problem might ne that you're at 1.19a (the 2nd beta) and your archive is 1.19 (the 1st beta). You would have to go two archives back to get to 1.10 (the true release).
I don't quite understand what "annexed" means. Does it mean they are surrounded by you, and just decide to hand the city over (so it's now totally yours)?
Yes, their territory is completely surrounded by mine. They are my allies, but I don't grant them rite of passage, so they are stuck and can do nothing but sit there. Since you can't break an alliance in this game, they can't declare war on me. They have no chance of growth, generally their resorces are un-attached t
Aye, I too like this thought. Now for a question, or two. 1. Would this hut/town/faction appear within your ZOC or on the boarders/fringes on your territory? 2. Like with other minor factions, would you ba able to marry into their clan? 3. Over time, if they come to like you, would they be willing to be annexed into your kindom/empire? (I've often swallowed up other kingdom/empires that didn't expand fast enough, and allied with them, and thought it would be
Yes , I forgot that, as I add it to my Sovereign by routine. Ooops.
1. Yes, gold deposits exist, you have to build a mine on it, it has to be in your zone of influence. 2. Same as #1, except insert the word iron or ventri in plase of gold. A blacksmith is available once your city hits level 4. 3. Buid improvements on shards. All of the improvements do require that you have researched the appropriate tech.
First, let it be understood, I cheat heavily (ctrl m,b,v,t,r,e,p,o, & v and edit .xml on my sovereign, npcs, weapons, armor ... everything). Now, for my question. I used to edit my capital to allow for 150 tiles, on the latest version it doesn't matter every city has unlimited tiles, but the moe buildings I add the slower it takes to click on the text tile to start the next building, why? Up to about building (tile) 75 or so, it's click move, click move, but after that it's click, m
Mmmm... A world made of marshmallows, ooo, and if that brownish water is chocolate sryup that would be sweet. Are the houses made of graham crackers perchance?
But I do have a heart, a male heart, and boy is it yummy!!!! But seriously, I just don't like looking at pixilated men, pixilated women are so much cuter. And now that I have found the twisted genetics of the the game, I can have male babies and stare at them too. BTW, you have a nice pixilated looking icon.
"What fools these mortals be." BTW, why throw out the baby boys? Seems like a waste. Why not trade them for other SOV's daughters? Bring a little variety into the Amazon's queendom.
I gave it some thought, but decided it didn't fit the mindset. I had read somewhere that that Amazons captured males, bred with them, then killed them (which I did to the male hero I married after the fouth child
I have encountered this before. Check all of your units, and see if any of them still seem to be moving, even though they are not (animation shows them to be running in place). If so, save the game (this doesn't fix it), quit and restart the game in cheat mode, find that unit and Ctrl T it one space from where it is. That has always worked for me. Ya know, know that I think about it, maybe you can just use teleport. As for the image change, that occurs after I create a new type of unit and th
So, I created "The Kingdom of Amazons" (with egalitarian so as to be able to have only women warriors), and a hot female Sovereign to rule them. I was forced to marry a male to have babies, though. I would send the male children out without weapons or armor and watch them die. Then I thought why not edit my Sovereign to male (in the .xml file) and be able to at least marry a women. This worked fine. Then a male child was born. I waited 25 years and he came of age (time to watch him die). So I
Well it happened, I got cousins to marry. Now I can't wait to get great grand kids, to see if they have freaking appendages.
yes, he can.. if you dig deep enough there's a thread somewhere in which we debated in game marriage of relatives... entertaining reading to say the least.
I went trough 35 pages front words and about 10 from the back, got tired and gave up. If anyone knows where it is I'd love to read it.
My son marries a Tarth girl, they have a daughter. She grows up and decides to join forces with Granny Irane. A couple of years later, my other son who married a Pariden girl, has a son who comes of age and stays with me. Can he marry his cousin, since she resides with the Tarth? Or say he was a son from the first couple, can he marry his sister? Also on a different note (and not so deranged), why does everyone hate Altar? It doesn't matter where in the faction power tree they are
Actually the point is becoming moot, we are now at 1.09v, that only leaves 4 more updates 'till you have to go 1.1. Due to the fact that you will be out of alphabet possibilities. (assuming standard English). So at the present rate of 1 update a day, you will have to go 1.1 on Friday.

Thanks for the link. I actually enjoyed it. Sure it was a touch goofy, but it beats the pants off of Star Trek : The Motion Picture. Also Chase looks really good in green.
Dear Mr. Vader, Perhaps these updates to your small moon might save you the trouble of having to build that second one near those nasty little Ewoks. Good luck with that troublesome boy of yours. &nb
