I was just playing a game in Beta 3B as the Yor (Large map, all other races, average difficulty, disabled tech trading) when the following happened : The Drengin decalred war on the Iconians, who surrendered next turn, then the Korath declared war on the Arcean, who surrendered next turn. Both only lost a single small (size 6) world, were equally large and had strong militaries. Two turns later the Krynn surrendered to the Drengin, again after losing one planet.

I have had it on both auto and manual mode. It always seems to be when the miner is near the end of it's movement allowance. I played with this a bit last night and it seems to be only with low moves left 0 to 1 when actyally on the field. I built 4 miners with various levels of engines and then played around. The result isn't consistant but it is repeatable.
Space Miner fails to start mining / upgrading an asteroid. This has been listed before (by me even) but it is happening again/still under 3A - Seems to be only when a miner uses it last point of movement onto an asteroid it does not start mining / upgrading the asteroid. This is not consistant and I had it happen only about four times in a two hour session. Saving and reloading does not duplicate it - but I did start watching for it and in all cases it was for a miner that use
For New BETA2a Had a quick game with the YOR and found the following with their tech tree. Efficency Studies - 3,4 and 5 all turn up together and the label for 5 is 4 as well.
One thing I would love is that, instead of troops being so throw away, that you actually raise and maintain legions which then can gain expereience etc. That way planets can have trained troops and militia units. It seems odd to me that space combat has got so much attention but planetary combat is just lacking, it is a contrast right down the line from tech available through to graphics. Yet, conquering planets should be the hardest thing you do as it yeilds the most reward a
CodeCritter In reply to your questions : 1. My mining bases. Have had it happen in my recent game with the Torians as well. The mining base is there, it is just not shown in the correct colour (still in default gray). So is probably a graphics issue on refresh. Have seen it with other races where they have mining bases but the asteroids are gray. Also have the re-assign issue where I cannot re-assign a mining bases output. 2. You can see the ship in most places, b
Just a few bugs found while playing Korath on a large map with all other races : 1. Mining bases on asteroids become lost (do not display on the map) but otherwise okay 2. Ships with Disruptors do not display when trying examining planet build queue - unable to buy them 3. Question - Particle beams for Korath are after lasers but give nothing?? 4. Lost a fleet (just vanished, never to be seen again) 5. Mining ships sometimes refuse to mine an asteroid - have to send them
