Prostentic Vogon Jeltz watched his monitor with little interest as a few cruiser sized ships did a quite ridiculous manuever. He would have to follow up on their fleet though, for they had jumped into Hyperspace without any clearance whatsoever. But first, this small insignificant planetoid had to be wiped from the face of the Galaxy. For progress, developement, and beurocracy had to continue no matter what obstacle stood in their way. It was strange though, he manuevers of these strange ships s

I hate wednesday, I could never get a hang of wednesday. This was the first thought of a Arthur Dent, who until recent circumstances changed was supposed to be by all intents and purposes dead. But yet he was alive, and as well as one could be when ones home was completely and utterly demolished for the second time. It is true what they say, a Vogon never gives up. "Attention all crew members, this is Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz speaking. We have just cleared the Sol system, and are n

The main reason the Haitans are starving was not because we fed them and made them lazy. On the contrary, and ironicly, its organizations that are supposed to be getting rid of poverty(ie. The World Bank) that is causing the mass starvation.

The problem with that is that doners gave their consent to have thier organs used, where as the prisoner probably didn't.

But you see, not many of us here have commited a crime, or have been to prison, or died. So we can not possibly say which punishment would work best. Experience usually speaks for itself, and in this case there is no experience, only assumptions.
The Archbishop should have spent a little less time asking questions and a little more time finding answers. Poor people generally have themselves to blame, and giving them food rarely helps do anything but keep them hungry.
Oh, really? So we should cut of all aid to the 1.3 million poeple in Burma who just suffered a typhoon? And we should also endorse the Israelli blockade of the Gaza strip until everyone there starves to death? And should we also allow the World Bank

China has a long way to go before it is accepted on the world stage. Though it has a lot of economic power now I doubt the government will be able to control the boom for much longer. Still there are strides towards a better equillibrium of control and freedom. Once that point is reached, and China lets go of it more sorid affair with human rights, then it might be a ligitamate power on the world stage.
I can't claim to speak for 1.3 billion people. I appose this abbaration of a Senate!!! How could I not be voted for!!?!? How can my one karma not convince you of my inherent goodness and greatness?!? *Storms out dramatically*

I vote for myself, and I hope others do as well. As leader of the Senate I will reorganize the Senate into a new image of greatness and prosperity. I will accomplish this by completely and utterly dissolving the Senate after stealing all of your... um... whatever this senate has to steal, and then run away to a distant galaxy. Clearly I am quite fit to be your leader :D

Um... sorry to say so Ron, but its not just oil prices. Its a financial crisis really, thanks to many banks investing in the subprime market. People are just too afraid to borrow or invest right now, especially with the Fed lowering rates like crazy.
