I might be able to help with this one - is the setpoint icon displayed on the system tool bar? If it is - right click and exit setpoint software, when you run Gal Civ after it should be fine. I have noticed that setpoint seems to do this to just about every game I've played!!

Hi - can anybody tell me if the 'throttle frame rate' option is disabled when there is a cross in it, or is it enabled? the reason I'm asking is that I've been told that the CTD's I've been getting is because of my Geforce 7800 GTX overheating and crashing the game, if turned on the throttle is supposed to stop excess performance.

I'm getting random CTD's on my system, I can't seem to find what causes it - it mainly happens around the starship design page but not always. All I get is a 'Gal Civ needs to close - tell microsoft about this problem' page there is no real indication why - also time does not seem to be a factor either. System Spec; Gal

another possible bug - if you drop your espionage funding everything still stays in the same, all the information and stealing remains as if you are still paying for it. I don't know for sure if this is a bug as you could argue that the spy network is in place and thats what you paid for, you should need to maintain it with funding though.

I found only one bug so far - this concerns the ship design page, when designing a ship - should you remove a ship part that you placed before with a right mouse click (on the part in the 3d screen) then it is not removed from the main list below the 3d display. This then causes a freeze that won't let you select another part from the main list unless you clear the entire project and start again. Everything works fine should you remove the part using

Hi, well - I'm new as well but I think the answer to question 2 might depend on the size of the galaxy your playing, if you are playing a small map the game may require a minimum amout of planets, suns e.c.t. I can't help with the others yet - but I'm sure someone in this excellent community will be able too.
