It's not a bug. It's really important on the forums especially to distinguish between features or design aspects that one doesn't agree with and bugs. Starting techs for custom races? in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Just wondering why every race (besides terran) has a far superior advantage in starting techs compared to what you can pick with your custom race. You only get 200 points to spend on a limited choice of techs, while most races have techs that add up to many times more points of what a custom race gets to spend. Also, not all techs even become available when you select the prerequisite; while, some techs showup even though you don't have enough points to even possibly get them. Was there a balanc

Looking for help with gameplay in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Well this section is empty right now (new subthread?), so I'll start off with a request. Please post some suggestions and strategies you have used. Never played GalCiv 1, but i'm a big Civ fan. I feel almost completely lost on what to do while playing. The tutorials are okay for someone who is just getting into the genre and need help with the interface, but don't really go into any detail on how to play beyond 'this is this, and that is that'.
