Far too many people seem to think that the newest shiny games won't run on their low to mid-range PC's. I have news for you. They will. Now, having said that, the drawback is quality. They can be down-right old looking when you scale everything down, but let me point out I can run Call of Duty 4 (Which uses the Unreal 3 Engine) on an AMD3000+ 64bit, with a GeForce 6600GT and 1GB of PC2700 ram, at medium settings and hit a nice stable 70fps. That aside; I work in a LAN gaming ce

I have seen both of them on medium sized maps
Amputate it? That's rather harsh. Reminds me of a friend who burnt his 56k US Robotics modem when he finally got cable.
Your PC can't be "destroyed" by spyware, and quite frankly, it's user issues that allow spyware to get on in the firstplace. Conversely, don't download porn, or hack programs/tools, game cheats, cracks, etc etc, and if you have NO choice, virus scan them thoroughly first. What is that old tech anecdote? Error exists between computer and chair?
Driver Date/Size: 10/26/2004 12:01:00, 3742720 bytes Could also be a problem
Intsall your processor drivers.
I'm not even quite sure what it means. I'm assuming it reads "Whenever I'm conquering an AI opponent, he isn't replacing his ships well enough and I can generally mass transports against him instead of more ships of my own". In return, On small galaxies/medium, this can occur often as most people can't build back up quickly with 5-6 planets mid-war after getting everything destroyed. This isn't "bad AI", rather the fact that you've crippled his military.
Exactly what Kosty just said. Would also like to see more rebalancing efforts on weapons and defences, there is a lot of stuff in there that needs urgently fixed, more so than about half the changelog for 1.3b.
Could we at least get a prelim changelog?
Weird, if we have any counter-strike players here - I get black artifacts around smoke type effects (original, not source), such as rain, or bullet decals. Very annoying.
Or they simply don't have medals.
It's looking really impressive. You lot do love the plastic/glass effect don't you ^^
What were your taxes? Race attributes? Were you getting influence pushed?
New metaverse icons under our accounts? say yes!
More realistic fleet and ship options. Increased importance on ships Larder ship classes with exponentially longer build times, and overall civilization logistics that limit the amount of larger ships you can have. A feature seen in moo2 that didn't affect the game in any way at all. but one that affects it would be cool. Better naming Fighter-class ships with hidden build numbers (They don't say Star Fury 991 in babylon 5 for instance) Carrier c
Pleasant guy. See the same type in my workplace day in, day out (I manage a LAN Gaming Center). Someone always thinks they can do things better, or they know someone who has, and won't see reason, and gets abusive about it.
Only until I realised I hadn't forced a cache reload, and it's all good now. Control+F5 is, indeed, your friend.
Amazing, kudos on a job well done. How about new Metaverse forum icons however? And a wider, prettier selection?
Will have a play at it soon. How about posting a changelog describing here exactly what you've changed like most mods do?
I always disable tech trading personally - barring the random event (which is quite common) i prefer it like that.
Indeed, Quitch has many good points; But fortunately (for the most part; I agree with the Economy being a little grey) they're mostly minor annoyances, not game-breakers. The main problem for me is also the UI. It's pretty rather than functional which is always a shame. Still, it beats the heck out of Moo3, and for that I can forgive it.
I know one of PCZones freelance reviewers (Michael Filby) - He endorses the review by jolt, who he also reviews for; Who, ironically, gave the game 90%. GalCiv2 is the best looking, most advanced game in its genre (4x Space Games) and easily the only TBS pushing Civ4 for the crown of best turn based strategy. What on earth were PCZones reviewers on?
Sound driver perhaps - Those older Cmedia chips are quite poor, but try updating your sound driver as its dated to 2002
Thats not a heat-related crash or im losing it
