I'll join if I get to wear a hat like Jayne. Edit: Mandatory firefly quote - Mal: "Do you want to run this ship?" Jayne: "YES." Mal: Well....you can't"

Good; My laptop has a 15.4inch widescreen display. 1200x800 is a great res for gaming if its supported (especially when running on a 6800Go chipset!). Oohh eta 12hoursish. Frogboy, If gc2 improves on even 10% of what its featured to, hereby offer to have your children. Well, find someone to have more children for you. Actually i'd be happy with just the ship designs <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/BigSmile.gif" border=0

"Better buckle up, this landing might get a little interesting" "Define interesting" "oh god oh god we're all going to die?" Good serenity quote that about sums up my style of leadership during my moo2 tactical battles. Im sure it'll apply to GC2 aswell!

Im a laptop gamer. Granted, It's an alienware laptop, but it's STILL a laptop. It's not higher end however but it does far exceed 800mhz (2.2ghz/6800Go) in this case. But my old old laptop is a 1.2ghz centrino with an intel chipset. And much higher battery life. So yes, i'm quite happy to see that

Starforce is a bad idea in general. Im the manager of a Lan Gaming Center in belfast and we cannot run a single starforce protected game, as currently giving CD's to customers wouldn't be exactly wise. We use a program called gamejackal (this way we dont have to crack games or anything illegal), but starforce won't play ball. We did email them and got a resounding "hard luck" back from them. Sucks.

Makes me wish I was in america! Some madman when I was finishing university decided to switch us from Java to C++ at the last moment. It could have been something SPECIAL if I was in the michigan area!

Seeing a fleet of "Tuna Class beam ships" wouldn't scare me; it would confuse me. I wouldn't know whether to fire back or get a loaf of bread and some mayonaise. However, if I saw the "Wakizashi" or "Dai-Katana" coming, I might get a little..."Worried". Augustus, fire a broadside!

I think another of my own themes early on would be my "heroes and villains" list from Roman history (keen amateur historian on the roman late republic, marius to octavian roughly) and having a fleet with names such as "Marius", "Sulla", "Pompeius" and "Caesar" together would be pretty damned cool

Has anyone else got a name-fetish for ships? Much like when I play Master of Orion 2 or 3, my ships aren't called "Annihilator" or "Clubber", they have a different stroke..."Vigilance Class", for example; In the latest game writeup I was pleased so see some pretty cool sounding names such as Hope or Spirit. Much more along my train of thoughts! For anyone else out there - What are you going to name ships? Bob, dave and steve? Perhaps leave them default

I love how even end-game fleets are kept down to size by logistics. I've been a rampant Moo-Fan since I got moo2 when I was about 13 but I always wanted to see smaller, battle-group sized fleets rather than the whole thing in one place. Moo3 tried and failed but GC2 has obviously suceeded. Great writeup too.
