there's a bug in the DG engine that makes v1.2.1 randomly incompatible with the Rollover Ally Info mod. I just updated to v1.2.2 where I change the way I hook into the rollover code to guarantee that I hook into the rollover code *after* the Rollover Ally Info mod. @pacov: how big would "wee bit" be? Is it the bars or the numbers or both?

If only they were soda jerks...
ok 1.2.1 is ready: - Improved visibility of mana/health bars - Improved readability of mana/health numbers - Moving mouse over team members now activates rollover display - Fixed interaction with viewing Replays
How do you play a replay?
from what I can see, it does not remove the max # of towers you can have, so the rook can't just fill the board with them. Though that *would* make for a funny Rook vs Rook grudge match mod.
FYI all the stuff I am releasing under my googlecode project is under the MIT License which I believe means you use it liberally as long as I get my credit somewhere. I don't list it in any of the individual files but I did tag the entire project with this license. If anyone else wants to host their mods + source code in the same project repository, just PM me and I'll add you as a contributor so you can check stuff in and we can have one big happy google place to store these mo
ah well, that tells me what I need to know - it looks the same on widescreen as on 4:3. I'll make a toggle to hide the portraits and increase the size of the bars.
guys when getting bad behaviour, check the demigod.log file (mydocuments\mygames\gaspoweredgames\.....\demigod.log). It might have an error message that will help out.
yep. Feel free to use anything I put out without permission. Just put credit in the readme or even a comment in the code. I suspect most modders would be OK as long as you don't just copy their code entirely, rename it and call it your own.
One of the problems you'll have finding a 3rd party tool to help you do something as simple as pre-parse your file for errors is that the LUA inside Demigod is a Modified LUA language. It has features not in the standard LUA languages. Things like # comments, continue statements to name 2 off the top of my head. Those right there will make any 3rd-party parse checking tool you find pretty much useless. Edit: what he said ^^^^ :)
Pacov - possibly. Can you post a full-resolution screenshot so I can see how it looks on widescreen?
Thanks Chirmaya !
Since it can be tricky for the average user to successfully install a mod, I've written an Inno Setup Install script that you modders can use to build installers for your mods. It is very easy to use: 1. Download and install Inno Setup . 2. Download the sample setup script . This is the setup script I used to build the installer for the Godlike Team Panel.<br /
Features - Adds a panel just above your ability bar which shows portraits of your teammates. - Each portrait shows the Name, Level, HP, and MANA of that player - Clicking on a portrait will center the camera on that player - Moving mouse over portrait will disp
it'd be cool if you could use the icons in the Team Panel to target abilities like Heal or shield.
Unless something has changed in 1.2, this won't be possible. When I wrote the mod, I could find no UI functions to let you specify the target of an ability. All the "click on your target" code was handled by the game engine once the UI told the engine that it needed a target for an ability. Unfortunate rea
Indeed! Allistair, the love of my female dwarven warrior's heart, just gave me a big ass-chewing over the way I handled things at Redcliffe. [e digicons]<X3[/e] With a heart turned cold and bitter, I took his Warden's Plate for myself and benched him in favor of Dogmeat, someone that always agrees with my decisions. As I left Allistair shivering in his helmet and bikini briefs with nothing to warm him but his self-righteous attitude, I smashed the locket of h
I think I still have the files. I'll try to tear myself away from DA:O long enough to update it for 1.2. I expect it should be a really minor edit to make it work.
what is this wanking thing? Here is Texas we choke the chicken.
I don't know if any intentional desyncing is occurring, but I'll just say it is fairly trivial to intentionally induce a desync and would be easy to create such a desync tool without any programming at all. I've intentionally induced desync before (not to game the ladder system, but to see what would happen if I did X,Y). I haven't bothered to explicitly tell GPG or SD how to do it because I can't believe they don't know already. But, if they actually PM a request for info,

1. Invest in a continuous build tool. I've used Bamboo and Cruise Control and either are effective - they monitor your source repository and when someone commits, they can fire off whatever you want...typically a compile and then any nunit tests. They can send emails if someone breaks the build or a unit test. Bamboo is particularly good about keeping tracking unit test results. 2. I just have to go "uggh" at the Hungarian notation. A good IDE can tell you a va
