Ambidextrous - I can draw pictures equally bad with either hand. Seriously, I think I started out to be a southpaw but was gently but firmly forced into using the right hand by family and teachers. No erasers up the side of the head but verbal pressure works just as well, trust me. Now I tend to do things 'my way' which means I use tools, hammer, broom, saw, wrench or what ever left-handed but write or eat

Well I for one am totally confused. If everyone says Ignore the ratings and if no one believes them and they don't matter. Why is there a ratings system? On most sites I can at least tell something about the skin or wall paper or whatever by the ratings. Here I am forced to ignore the ratings and guess at what might be quality work or not f
Nope my install is just perfect Zubaz, what I'm looking for is a way to 1. save the settings, 2. change them to default for a different skin then 3. let me return to the saved settings later. That's the problem. There is no obvoius way to save the color change you liked before unless you go in and use Skin Studio which I do not want to do. greg2, Thanks, who is Neil Bienfield or how do I hunt him down? Sorry I'm not a constant reader of this forum nor am I a skinner
Please let me say I have no problems with adjusting, what I've got problems with is no way to save the adjustments so I can get that particular color back later if I want to change skins then return to the theme I liked. There's no visible way to save the settings and the slider bars are extremely inexact. Was hoping there might be a hidden ini file or something not obvious where the adjustments are listed in numerical format. I really don't want to change the skin it's self in Skin Studio.
I've searched the forums and don't find anything re this so Hopefully I'm not duplicating something easy to find I just haven't stumbled onto. I find some blinds to be too bright or just too saturated. So I've used the in program "Change skin color" feature. But I notice that it's all slider bars and almost impossible to duplicate the sliders if I find the 'just right' colors for taming a wildly colored skin so it no longer makes my eye's bleed. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Wi
What do I look for? In an icon package I look for instant file type recognition. If I can't figure out what the heck that icon's program is at a glance I probably won't keep it around long. Hanging Folders by Asect is a great example of instantly recognizable icons. For WB, clean lines, white spaces and good contrasts. If the backgrounds on text spreadsheet and email files are weird colors with hard to read font colors it will wear out fast. I love good animations, just not giant
When it comes to Microsoft trying to do "everything" with Windows I'm starting to feel more and more that they are following the same route that Intel has and going to find themselves imploding in the same way. Intel's stock has been in the tank for ages now and their market share is falling like a rock to feisty AMD simply because they tried to do everything instead of focusing their innovations and energys on their core business.. Jack of all trades, mas
Interesting reading, please read the full article before commenting . I've been on the fence for some time about Vista. Figured to give it a chance, maybe wait a month or two or more after launch before upgrading, just to let the bugs get fixed. Our IT team at work has been fairly quiet about the upgrade and some what resigned since our company always upgrades eventually to everything Microsoft puts out. The company computers are are pretty solidly 'MS Owned". When it
I've tried Ccleaner but I still seem to like Cleanup better Link Anyway you look at it though cleaning out your temp files and old uninstalls and any other nonsense that programs stuff on your drives is a very good thing
Interesting comments. Windows Barebones would be a lifesaver to me. I'm a simi-geek not because I want to be but because I'm forced to be (and because I have the time to be). I can prune my OS. Makes me one of the minority. And that's something everyone here probably needs to think hard about. Most guys commenting here here really are part of that minority, it shows in your comments. The average joe can not, will not and won't ever be able to effectively tame windows for max u
