Recoloring skin using WB's own limited recolor feature (WB5)

Is there anyway to save the change?

I've searched the forums and don't find anything re this so Hopefully I'm not duplicating something easy to find I just haven't stumbled onto. I find some blinds to be too bright or just too saturated. So I've used the in program "Change skin color" feature. But I notice that it's all slider bars and almost impossible to duplicate the sliders if I find the 'just right' colors for taming a wildly colored skin so it no longer makes my eye's bleed.
Is there anyway to save just that one setting for just that one skin? Maybe a spot where it shows the hue/sat/intensity in number format? A lot of skins are really fun to look at but just a bit too swild. Especially as my laptop gets used at work and I really can't have something like bright strawberry orange on the desktop if the boss wanders by.

Thanks for any info you can give me here.

try adjusting just the gamma not the sauturation thats only one slider to remember plus it is very sensitive depending on vidio your card so you should only have to move it a little bit

Please let me say I have no problems with adjusting, what I've got problems with is no way to save the adjustments so I can get that particular color back later if I want to change skins then return to the theme I liked. There's no visible way to save the settings and the slider bars are extremely inexact.
Was hoping there might be a hidden ini file or something not obvious where the adjustments are listed in numerical format. I really don't want to change the skin it's self in Skin Studio. One, that's way to much work and two I really wouldn't feel comfortable changing someone elses hard work in a graphic program even just for my own use.

Yea i understand i figured you knew how to adjust and i agree it would be a nice feature if saved colors but know no file ajust to do it   You might try hunting down Neil Bienfield he is the developer he might be able to steer you in a better direction than me

Odd. When I make a color change it's maintained across reboots (and across skins).

Post the System Information for the WB config. Maybe you have a messed up install.

Yea now that i think of you are right Zubaz when ever i change color of a skin it reverts to the last setting it was at

Nope my install is just perfect Zubaz, what I'm looking for is a way to
1. save the settings,
2. change them to default for a different skin then
3. let me return to the saved settings later.
That's the problem. There is no obvoius way to save the color change you liked before unless you go in and use Skin Studio which I do not want to do.

greg2, Thanks, who is Neil Bienfield or how do I hunt him down? Sorry I'm not a constant reader of this forum nor am I a skinner just a user of the program. Totally lost re: who is who or where.
I've been trying to save using windows save theme feature but that is totally unworkable since WB over writes and changes the set up under properties/appearance.

Neil is the developer of WB. He may find this post or not.

Go to https://www.stardock.helpserve.com and create a case. You can also mail [email protected] . . but I hate the risk of email getting flagged as spam.

That'll create a case for Stardock to look at.

i dont know why, but when i try to recolor a skin the only thing that i get is a light color., i mean this:

I try to change the defoult green color of a skin into a solid red color(R: 255, G: 0, B: 0).., but i only get this light red color: R: 100, G: 0, B: 0.., and i dont know why ...
