Homosexual are as much entitled to their own conscience as you are. And to come back to this, I'm as entitled to NOT having their belief system shoved in my face and down my throat as they are entitled to me not shoving my belief system at them. If certain minority groups want to be free from having another group's value system forced upon t

I don't bottle up my chaos - I revel in it. Then again, I tend to be a *little* anal-retentive, so I try to make it all sit dress right, dress and all in order. Makes my life rather interesting at times. 'Specially with 4 little ones running around the

At 6'2", according to the BMI charts I've seen, 180 lbs. is where I should be. Yeah, right. I've not seen 180 since I was a Sophomore in high school. When I was working out (and before my body started falling apart), I was averaging about 235 - 240. A little high, but it a) felt good and b) kept the doc happy. Sadly, the *cough*290*cough* that I'm carrying around is a little much. Walking has started chipping away at that, and it's helping keep

Worked on you. Yep. She's got me wrapped around her little finger. And has since the day she was born. Me and every other male in her life (all 3 brothers, both grandfathers and her uncles).

Hehe. This is something I'm dreading. My four year-old little girl is a big flirt. I mean, come on! She's in the middle of an asthma attack, sitting on the exam table at the urgent care centera and she's FLIRTING with the doctor!!! Come on! I had to do a couple double-takes on that one. I'll give her credit, she's just being consistent. The girl's been a flirt from the day she was born.

I agree that PREVENTING the pregnancy in the first place is a different beast than terminating that pregnancy after it's started. I have no problems with the different methods of birth control. However, after these preventive measures have failed (for lack of/impropor use, unlucky sod, what have you), then nature should be allowed to run it's course. After birth, there are too many options, including (Heaven forbid!) actually raising the child yours

Looking at that ... It's something that I can see, and understand. When it becomes personal, or the bad things happen to the same individual, then it becomes harder to accept and rationalize. Unfortunately, there are too many things that I've experienced that are hard to rationalize. Too many encounters with experiences outside the realm of science and corporeal reality. Accepting some of them is a little difficult, as well.

JillUser, I think it all can be summed up in the phrase "Shit happens." Not exactly a politically correct answer, but that's what it looks like from here. I see a balance existing between good, bad, and indifferent results (notice, not intentions, but results) in what goes on in our lives. This doesn't mean that when a bad thing (new husband paralyzed, for example) happens in a Person A's life that something good (winning

Of course I am SURE this decision will come back to bite the character in the butt. Like maybe the person who ends up dying has a cure for the very disease his wife suffers from.....so he is not just saving her life, he is killing all the people who die from that disease after the "cure" would be found. Tough question. As much as I love my wife, as much as she completes who and what I am, I don't think I could go through with that. Next to suicide, it strikes me as the second most selfish action you could take. In effect, you're saying "My loved one's life is worth more than your loved one's life." While I can understand that grief and desperation can drive you to do things that you normally wouldn't, I don't think I would be abl

I guess I have a merciful bunch of friends who decided to pity him rather than kill him To guys like that, a woman's pity is worse than death. And I think he got exactly what he deserved! As for me, I find pregnant women (and one in particular <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smile

Good luck there, Mason! Man, what I wouldn't give to have been a stowaway on the back of that truck this morning. You're dropping those vehicles off in my home town. I'm originally from Huntsville! And we've still got family just a little ways outside town (Okay, they're WAAAY down SR 72 in Florence, but still, that's just outside town ...<img src="../images/smiles/bigsmi

Because the game is fine, as much as I saw of it content wise, its the jerks on line who mess it up. As you say, official content wise - the game is fine. Additionally, according to the TOS and TOU, any players that are affected by questionable material have the right to report the individual for harrassmen

I'm of the sort that I'll take over caring for the kids once I come home for work. Especially when they were younger (and homeschooled). Now that we've moved into a school district where we feel comfortable putting our children into school, my wife doesn't have nearly as much to do during the day, so she doesn't need that respite AS MUCH. I love my kids. I love caring for them. Giving them baths in the evening before bed (the littlest on

Starting with throwing out the well-heeled lobbyists. Reminds of the old joke "What do you call 100 dead lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? A good start." This is a good start. The other thing would be start ENFORCING the rules (of the Senate and the House) that require ethical behavior. Sta

The answer to your question, which is a good question, of how does approving the UAE contract ensures the containers AREN’T safe... Since the company that has this contract both supervises the loading of the containers and prepares the documents that are to list the contents, a slip on that end would allow the potential for a nuclear weapon or some other WMD to be conceale

Okay, COL - who would you have operate these ports? Halliburton? How loud would you scream for that one? How about ... Northrup Grummond? Another big defense contractor that would have people screaming "Collusion!!" As Gideon has said, why not put forth the olive branch that shows that we can work with Muslims that DON'T resort to terror tactics?

My boys have expressed an interest in getting their hair dyed. So, this past fall, we let them do it. Bleached it (from brown) to a pale (almost ash/white) blonde and then added color. The "manly" one in the middle wanted his a hot pink. Of course, the girl of the bunch (who has some really pretty strawberry blonde hair) just wanted pink highlights. They
