I have the latest version of wb5 and only JUST nosticed that I am not seeing the WB5 skins. For example this is what I should see of Solair.. and this what I get... When I open WB to load the skin, it doesn't even show the different options in the dropdown, just all the non WB5 skins come
I'm just not getting this. I opened pachage builder and made my parent pack and saved it and get (for example) PoSmedley.iconpackage in a folder with all the icons. Now, in package builder, I replace the icons I want to, to make the subpackage. I click on the subpackage button, select ADD NEW...window opens...it wants.. Name...
Thanks Paul!!
Thank you so much, mormegil. I posted the info on the other 2 threads. One other question.... When creating the subpackages..if I am not replacing ALL the icons, do I still drag and drop all of them? What I mean is, will Icon Packager fill in the ones you don't drag and drop into the subpackage with the apropriate ones from the parent file? It would seem ideal, in order to keep the file size down, but I don't know if that's the
This is from another thread and explains the subpackage issue. It was posted my mormegil who is putting together the Apogee update..... Po, All you have to do is make sure you have 3.1 then make your main pack. in package builder create your subpackages. Then create your parent package, in package builder you will see a ?????? button, I dont know why this is, named that way. I will yell at brain abou that. Anyway. Here you add new sub pa
mormegil..I just looked the thread over again..I didn't realize you were putting together the Apogee Pack....can you explain how the subpackages are applied to the final IP?
You can email me if you want Po-Smedley at sc.rr dot com
This is ort of off topic..but.. I am trying to make subpackages for my new Icon Pack and there is no information on this. There is another thread going in Stardock Support on subpackages that has been getting nowhere and I emailed SD Support 4 days ago and have heard nothing. So I am asking.... Does anyone have the Apogee Icon Pack still in it's IP file that could look it over and tell me how it's 'packed, zipped, or formatted'? I und
Here is my update, such as it is. Hope it helps. Link

This chapter applies only to WIndow Frames/Borders. If anything here applies to any other area of WB Skinning, I haven't gotten that far yet. What I Didn't Know- The WB5 version of SKINSTUDIO allows you to make skins for WB5 AND previous versions of WB. Well, I knew that. What I didn't know is that you can make a skin for either version, say...you don't want to get mixed up in all the new stuff v5 has to offer and you want to kee
I stopped in cause I'm the king of stupid questions. I was afraid I was about to be dethroned. lol. These are not stupid questions. I was hoping I could help, but...well, my title says it all. But your in good hands with yraq.
Excuse my bluntness, but this sucks. One, because I like the site and the people. Some of those members are members here as well, and have helped me alot with my little efforst to skin. Two, because I became a member and have never been able to post. (Huh?) Let me explain. I am assuming it's my fault, my browser setting or ZA setting, I dunno. Once or twice a week I try again to figure it out. But none of my forum posts worked and when I tri
Do let us in on the fix - many of us novices need help with this very issue I plan to. I'm still going over it and will update when I have a better grasp of it, I want to be able to post pics of how I have been screwing it up and what it 'should' look like. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smil
If you think that's funny, you should have been there when I returned the Whoopi Cushion. It wouldn't go 'Whoopie', it just kept making this obscene noise.
Thanks. Looking forward to the email.
An updated "Help" file Your version has a HELP file???? Is it like mine... I've gotten more help in the forums and tutorial articles. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALIGN="
I'm trying. Honest. Fun, fun, fun. See, I'm smiling and evrything. Smile, smile, smile. *Ignore the hostage negotiators in the background.
I have had that happen, depending on what skin I am using. Right now I am using Schismwb that was made by someone with more experience than me and when I checked...the check boxes work when I try them on the START MENU...but not on the WINDOW FRAME, so I know it can't be the Schismwb skin by what's-his-name, and I would doubt it's SDSStudio's fault. It must be something I am doin I'm sending you a zip with the wb in it. All that is skinned i
Do you have transparency and translucency checked for you images? It won't let me check them. That's the problem. I don't have a skin to zip because of all this. LOL. Let me try again with the PNG's and if it still won't work, I will zip it to you. Thanks, NT.
If you have any memory laying around, let me... what was I saying?
