not exactly sure how I did it , but by clicking a link within an impulse forum, I have access to wc forums within impulse. Can't just go to wc forums though, have to do it via that link. still it's nice to have only the one program open... hmmmm can also access wc libraries here too.. cool!! [edit] I was even able to download and install a cursorfx theme from within impulse. doesn't have that downloads feature that sdc has, but heck, least I didn't have to have two programs up at once to

it is part of icon packager. and I think you can save a set of icons as a package. someone will be able to tell you in more detail eventually . wish I could but I haven't mastered it yet myself.

boxxi tells funny ha ha jokes, not upsetting jokes like leaving messages. there is something he needs to work on personally and feels it will take up all his time, we're gonna miss him, but there is always hope he'll be able to return someday.

back to the original question about object dock, the start menu thing seems to be working without issue now, but the free version still has a habit of dissapearing randomly and needing to be restarted. aside from that, for a free product, it works amazingly well and without any of the crap other companies usually add to their "free" products. email Stardock support, and provide them with the original email address and the new one, They can help straighten out the problem, though you might have to occasionally supply the old address with stardock store, it refuses to acknowledge new addresses. but if support has the correct address they will send updates and stuff there.

We'll all miss you. You're a good man, and a great skinner. I'm sure you'll eventually put things to rights , and maybe someday in the future we'll see some more beautiful work with that classic Boxxi signature. Meanwhile, chin up and know we're behind ya if you need it. D.

dunno if it's actually advice , was just relaying what I do when the same thing happens to me. Hope it does work for you though. it's helped to calm my frustration on several occasions when I'd already filled in many fields and hadn't gotten to click enter yet, and didn't want to reboot.

strangely enough , I have had a similar problem with cfx. I have found, if I plug something into my usb port, wait for the default sound that something's connected, then disconnect, and wait patiently, the cursor miraculously frees up. Dunno why, but I keep a usb device handy just in case. it's sometimes a pain in the arse, but keeps me from having to reboot. it's like something is hanging up in there, and the change of device, is like a slap in the face to the computer. found this all o
I bet this is one effect Stardock didn't expect Impulse to have
Strangely enough it's one they probably should have expected. By nature, people like to personalize things(bedrooms, cars, desks, clothing, equipment.) When computers became personal, people sought ways to further personalize them, and anytime a program was offered with limited personalization capabilities, people found ways to stretch those boundaries. It's the whole reason WC and Stardock
