oops! tried to edit but missed yes yes yes yes
Thanks Zubaz! I was afraid no one would look at it after how badly it came out this morning,I'm a total newb when it comes to blogging and such. Wouldn't it be neat , if there were a few "coloring book" style skins? something with basic grey, that is able to be colored in through the features I mentioned earlier? You would think any grey skin would work, but I think because of all the different shades of grey and black needed to make those skins spectacular, they are difficult
grrrr!!!! can ANYONE see the pics?.. apparently, though the items were uploaded to ftp site, and are showing there, none are being shown on my computer... any suggestions for fixing this problem are welcome. Wulf
Hello peoples! Today I'm going to do a brief article about recoloring in a few different Object Desktop programs. I am preparing this for two reasons; One, I want people to better understand how I recolor when I mention it in my revi
I spent the week trying to install updates for .net and live writer , and it took me finally clicking on custom install and unclicking all but one and dling one at a time to get it to respond correctly they're all installed now, but it took forever for some of them to dl and install,.
lol sounds like starkers has been in politics for a while. that's usually how it goes, and why it takes years to get a bill of any importance passed. too bad it doesn't work that way for those silly bills,...like raises for politicians
but we would need to take survey to find out what should be included in the alpha version
that is priceless!!! too bad you posted it already, would have made a great post to the reader's digest for fifty bux (half tank of gas that!)
staff introduction Take us around the office and introduce us to some of the staff and let us in on what they do and how it coordinates with the effort as a whole,. we all know the nicks but don't all know what they do. I would even consider doing the "out of office" staff, you know , some of the mods and such that contribute in some way but aren't actually in house
then go with Basic and then later on upgrade if you wish.
but does the basic include windowsfx? that's a program that really makes for a sharp look and thank you for being an upstanding cit , pwrfl, glad to have you aboard!
ooooh coool!!! will be glad to see them again. Don't forget skinners of old, If you have an elderly skin, consider updating just a bit for those of us who appreciate your quality work!
nooo... will have to hunt it down! thanks for all the help! btw, for those who didn't know, while doing some research on the oldies, this past week, Wizard1956 did contribute quite a bit of information and useful feedback on skins and how well they were working with new technology. This was important because my setup might have allowed something to work or not work, that his might work differently with. Thanks heaps for the help wiz!
I think wizard and myself had two different views of surveys. the thing I thought of when I read the post, was those spam surveys and survey websites that choke the web. That's why I answered in the manner I did. A simple survey offered after a person purchases a product wouldn't probably be as distasteful though.
I read in one of the threads, that the new builds of wb don't support those extra buttons. That could be why they aren't showing up.
the thing about kitty skins, is they are always very original in design and always beautiful in a sinister way. I do so love that. I used to jump on the download button when ^^Gabriel uploaded. Do miss his style and sleek usability
how many threads do you plan to create on the same subject? really , one will do the trick, if you are patient. Do you have the programs needed to use those skins? if not, you need to visit www.stardock.com and dl a trial or purchase. It's worth it. oh word to the wise, crak programs dl'd somewhere else have lots of problems including virus' ,and will garner you no support within this community, so you're better off purchasing.
do we really want to put stardock in that category? Actually I like the vote section they have... works just as well I guess.
glad you liked. there are alot of skins that were posted in the last three to five years that are really worth the trip down memory lane. I picked the ruinedinc skin because of it's contrast. There is a real lack of that type of skin these days. I think someone said it has to do with the way fonts are handled? not sure really just wish it were an available feature in new skin making, for those of us with "old eyes". My true aim was to get viewers to consider some of the elderl
One of the things I want to stress prior to continuing this article, is , there are some elderly skins that seriously dislike new technology. It is with a stern warning to back up your stuff first, I give you this week's reviews. Having said that, I want to tell you there are some really neat skins in the libraries that no one see's anymore. Some of thos
is it new that wb doesn't control certain font colors? or is it something windows did? is it possible for the designers to consider that when they make the next build?
I like that review! I now know how you feel about the comic itself, why you feel so strongly, and I have some insight as to what the content will both look and read like. I wish you had done the same with the others. I might actually check this one out. Always up for a good read, even if there are alot of pictures.
