If you want to get in to the finer tweaks it still takes some knowledge. My point (as stated in another thread) and advise if you WANT to learn how to use it is do NOT use Start8. Spend the time with the UI and get to know it. In a short amount of time you will learn to navigate behind the scenes to get it configured like you want it. From there you just might find like I did that you are able to navigate around the OS faster than you could in Win7. System performance is also much better in 8

Kudos Kantok. Someone that actually GETS IT and has the ability to get past the initial shock and invest the time to get to know it. Until you've spent at least a full day or two of HEAVY use on Windows 8, your bitching and whining have no validity. I was in that group in the early stages but not now.

To me at least, Windowblinds never did Windows 7 any favors either since you can't skin everything 100%. No matter what the theme, it just never seems complete. That is no fault of Stardock or those that make Windowblind skins. Just the way it is. MS did an excellent job with the default Aero theme and I've never experienced an "Ick" factor with it. I haven't kept it on my system for any longer than a few days since Windows 7 came out. Really, what is the need for

However, the real game breaker is The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind incompatibility. Yes, this game was released in 2002, but it is still one of my favorites and runs fine under Windows 7. So, for me, Windows 8 won't happen![/quote] kku, I switched to Windows 8 Pro x64 this weekend. Not only does Mor

Looks like it could have been done with DesktopX but I can't be sure. I've never seen it here at least. As for the dock on the left side, same.. could have been Objectdock. The dock looks like crap though with the rest of the theme going on..

I'm terribly sorry Doc, but that just does not fit here. If one were to see Jim in such astounding detail, one would have to run screaming from the room as though their eyes and face were engulfed in white hot flame with an accompanied bath of Hydrochloric acid.

My best thoughts and prayers for you both. Lisa, well cause she has to look at that mug in the morning ( and he's shared that face with all of us.. ) :) Jim, cause even though sheep are his very best of "friends" he's still a good person. - that was quite painful...
