Not the type of answer I would usually offer ( I'm using "X" what can I do... try something else") but I recommend scrapping that and using VMware Workstation 9. It handles video and resources much better. A bit costly at $249 but I (being in I.T.) find it essential. For a die hard hobbyist and skinner it would be extremely beneficial for covering a plethora of OS flavors as well.
