LET ME BE THE FIRST TO CONGRATULATE YOU ON JU FOR YOUR PROMOTION! Wow, SSG Pseudo, nice one. Excellent work. It is the fruits of your tireless labors. Notice I didn't say "frustration-less", "burnout-less", or even "fatigue-less". I have the utmost respect for your efforts in the Army. It was an excellent decision to extend to make E-6 happen. I know you will be blessed for it. Thanks for keeping us informed!

You should realy consider changing your handle from pheudosoldier. You are a Soldier (capital S). You and I have talked, the doors are open. I believe you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. Congratulations on your promotion, you have earned it. Remember, if I can help you in any way, come SEE ME... Good job, SF

I am sick to the teeth of these celebrities who think that their opinions on social issues matter. Natalie Portman, Sharon Stone, Michael Moore, Barbra Streisand, Ben Affleck, and Dave Grohl (among many many others) feel compelled to speak out on everything from foreign policy to global warming, when they are not even qualified to speak out about shoe styles or hair

Without the narcissisitic ranting of the apparently delusional and clinically paranoid Moore, how would he ever get any attention? It's a cycle of addiciton, plain and simple. He gets attention by going off in movies or interviews. The praise of the liberal elite makes him crave more. From there, he gets his fix by going off again, this time a little more out there, a little more inflammatory or inaccurate. Billed as "hard-hitting" or "uncompromis

Okay, here is the update. My '95 Geo Metro was a wash. Inspected but completely unpassable by the State of Maryland. Here's how the actual conversation went, over the phone... (names have been changed to protect the innocent) Me (not his real name): Hello? Bob: Hi, this is Bob from Auto... Me: Okay, do I want to ask? Bob: Let me start by saying, we have a Dodge Shadow here at the garage, in pretty good condition, with 120k

Mom is fully Swedish, Dad is half-English and half-German. (That's the easy version.) Ancestors settled in Minnesota, but I moved away. My whole family is still there, except for me & family. Wife is English, both sides. Ancestors walked across the plains in 1867 to Utah. Her family is scattered, but they congregate towards the West. I try and play up my Swedish heritage to my kids, considering that makes up 1/4 of their genetics

The torture continues! Found out that my GOOD car, the 3-year-old Chevy Venture van, the one that is supposed to be in good condition, has a brake cylinder that needs replacing. $170 for the new cylinder. Can't get it passed without the repair. With inspection sticker: $250. For the good car. I am really not excited to take my little Geo Metro into the shop to get it inspected. It may cost me more than the price of my car. T-minus 30 mi

John, People who blog are already putting themselves up for criticism, rebuttal, and even mockery. While I do not enjoy a flame war, especially when it is entirely off-topic, I do understand the risks involved with putting my opinions out for the world to see. I certainly don't want to light the match. But if I were thin-skinned, I would be more hesitant about opining. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class

Driving in a truck with a confederate flag in the back window... listenin' to SKYNYRD on the 8-track... 1/2 bottle of Jack in the glove box... ...five black youth pulled into a KFC parking lot. What an inaccurate mental picture. Just doesn't work. That would be the *New* South?

Sorry that post was well off topic. What was the topic again? Oh yeah, Michael Moore. Whaddamaroon. How can anyone consider that the 9/11 attacks were choreographed by anyone other than al-Qaeda? I think the 9/11 Commission, as flawed and political as it was, established that no one was complicit with al-Qaeda's plans. That is not "party-line"; that is FACT. There was no connection between Atta, Padilla, or even Richard "Don't Look in my

Makes their transition to a capitalistic society a little more dark and disturbing, huh? Incidentally, when you said... post partum fetuses ...your choice of words was offputting. Were you just looking for another word for "babies"?

My son Ben is getting research materials to present to his teacher about the dangers of DHMO. (Don't worry, he's in on the joke, but the teacher isn't.) Did you know the "anti-DHMO crowd" have a website? http://www.dhmo.org/ Very legitimate looking, too. Perpetuates the dangers of that toxic chemical!

So, do you wear big shoes and a red nose too? I am not at liberty to discuss that. Have you got a little car and one of those flowers in your buttonhole that squirts

Y'know, I read a book on comparative religions that was quite complimentary of Islam. Afterwards, His father Joseph (not Joseph of Arimathea) "mortgaged all of his little land and embalmed Jesus in a liquid in a glass tube. As long as the air does not get to him, he will be there just as he was the day he was killed two

Y'know, the Department of Defense is so crazy about keeping things under wraps. They don't even want me to tell anyone who I work for. But I will go out on a limb and let you know exactly who it is I work for. I'll probably get in trouble for this, but... My job! Hope this sheds some light on my "clandestine"
