Good to see you back Starstriker! I thought you had given up. I hope i can post argument worthy of reply - not that i argue for arguments sake, i do genuinly think i'm rite! Consider the current society we are in now, and imagine some country using the precursor device in today's world. I think i can safely asume with absolute 100% certainty that, that nation would soon find itself at war with every other country on Earth. Alternatively, if that country was a riteous countr

Well, the forum seemd to do it for me this morning. I have *no* items in My Posts, but I can still see the threads I started in My Replies. Hehehe, yea that happens allot. Just refreshing the webpage usually fixes that.
In the final build of Dark Avatar, attack rolls will roll 0 - max attack. "Step right up all you gamblers, casino dark avator is open for buisiness!" "Security to administartion, security to administartion", "please escort all these strategists from the building".
Build a starport and factories. A couple of factories is enough to pump out constructors. Mars is near earth so usually at some stage it will be boosted by starbases. Other low PQ worlds in positions unlikely to be boosted by starbases; The only other real use I find for this low PQ planet is to put a few of my 'universal' building projects on here, thus
Generally, I keep populations to 15 million, and after researching and building what trade goods I can, I keep taxes around 70% with approval around 75%. This sounds like the right strategy too me.
Finances is probably the single biggest threat to your empire in this game. You really have to plan ahead. Look at the game 'chess' where planning ahead is what it's all about, well chess is nothing compared to the planning ahead needed for finances in this game. By the time you feel the effects of poor financial planning in your game... it's all over, your screwed! The economy will invert itself and spiral down and there aint nothing you can do except sit back and wait to be c
What is the lifespan of the average post? A day or two? So i guess it is bad to hyjack a new post, but any post that's getting a bit old can have new life breathed into it with a hyjack. Regardless, we can post on any topic i believe, so long as we use the 'off topic' category.
I don't like the sound of the devs being in my bed Hehehe, ok so your not a dev groupie then. So I've heard! I hope they listen. We shall see if they consider this feature as feasible. <
there may be a temporary hold, but the charge will not be completed Ah see, just like layby except the 'hold' guarrantees you can afford it when the time comes. Imagine if there was some stupid family emergency, or the exwife comes with her lowyer for all your money, or you get sued, bankrupt, sacked.... you can still enjoy Dark avator (prov
Actually the planet is Mars... um i do believe Mars is significantly inhospitable and the game just reflects this fact. As for the AI colonising it, well i do get the impression the AI is hellbent on colonising as deep up your assehole as it possibly can ignoring perfectly good worlds elsewhare.
Now THIS quirk is followed by the Subspace Blaster "speed bump". Sigh. I have wasted a whole lot of research on two weapon improvements in a row and received a whole lot of nothing. You need to 'break up' your research more by the sounds of it. I usually research weapons in 'stages'. Once the research on weapons starts getting a bit too slo
Faster freight is safer freight but if there's a trade federation or you have galactic privateer, speed is irrelevant. With either of these, freight become targets the AI focuses on repeated in spite of its inability to destroy them. Trade federation yes, Galactic privateer no. The galactic privateer only protects your freighters fr
I am big on morale and diplomacy early and trade for weapons so this works well for me. If your weak militarily you can trade for weapons tech.... not possible to do this if your strong. I have not found Milit
So you had 1 chance in a thousand to lose and you got it. It's a really bad luck, but it is bound to happens to someone with so much players and so much games played. That dousnt sound rite? I did try the battle a second time, resulting in a victory but still, one ship killed and another heavily damaged. You could say i recieved 50% less ba
This is good, i just posted a question earlier about 'my posts/replies' folder. This is the answer i was looking for!
No, they show all your threads/replies. Thanks Kryo,
Hi Just wondering if i can remove threads from 'my posts' or 'my replies' folders? Since it is hard to remember which threads are still of interest too me and which ones are not? It takes allot of time to go through them all one at a time to check for new posts - since threads with new posts half the time will not be highlighted i don't know why that is?
As for the original post, just by looking at the numbers you posted, those numbers suggested to me that you would get beat, not just beat, but smoked. I don't get it, i mean, i have a higher attack verses their defence than their attack verses my defence. So it is a joke that they would win under those circumstances. As far as i c
I won't build starports on allot of my planets already! I see no point to building starports on science and financial specialised planets. Also i keep a few 'junk' small planets just for rush buying projects - i don't build starports on them either. Usually, once i have a half decent fleet, i will need at least half of my planets to be filled with stock markets just to stop me going broke! And that is including all the millions of trade starbases i build along my trade routes.
Selling a planet is a different story altogether. I used to sell planets in Galciv1, seems to be little point to selling planets in Galciv2 - their practically worthless!
Well that kinda blows. Oh well. Pretend it's on layby!
Somewhere in the game, i found my first "lucky Ranger". They called it that way, and after that every 8 turns or so, i found another "lucky Ranger". Ah yes i remember playing a game before as unaversalists. I was getting "lucky rangers" yes after about an equal number of turns each time, i would get another one
Subspace annihilator is just a speed bump on the way to doom ray, there is no actual weapon associated with it. Ah doom ray is what i was thinking of, sorry. Sad it's not a weapon because 'subspace Annihilator' really sounds like the name given to somthing that... you know,,, annihilates things!
Could be a bug? Have you tried saving the game, then restart computer, reload game? I believe the Subspace anihilator looks like the earlier plasma weapon.
How would I ask the devs? Kneel beside your bed at night before going to sleep.....
