I almost never trade away Logistics. That's a war tech. Actually logistics is a tech to trade away as quick as possible! Yes it is a war tech but the AI generally researches this tech pretty quick, so you should sell it while you still can.... going going gone!
You mean this game has audio? No, i dunno, i mean propper music, this issue not related to the game. If this doesn't do the trick, post back and I will give you some further things to do in the Creative software. <
TECH Tree I like the tech tree. Agree science is way too fast, i use the slowest science setting and wish it could be much slower! Ship designs is a different matter, good planning and strategy overcomes your problems with that. Ship battles - i don't see the need to participate. What i do hate is the luck factor in combat, it is wa
The economy is naturally set to self destruct at the early stages of the game, that is normal. What i like to do to help my economy is to research all the trade techs first up, (swap them for other techs i need later on) and get my trade routes up and running quick smart. At first i do not build anything on planets i colonise. I ignore them untill my finances turn green then i start developing my capitals first, alomg with any bonus squares. next i will start building markets
especially when you consider the time value of money Normally yes, ingame no. You get no benefit from your savings over time, the only thing that happens is an economic penalty from having too much money. May as well put your money to work in economic starbases, at least it is doing somthing better than nothing. Yes military starb
you do understand that you are drinking the same water that the dinosours drank right Yes and isn't it funny that so many people reject recycled sewege water! all water is recycled anyway! all open air water bodies in the world get crapped in by fish and other animals already. The true question is, what isn't recycled sewege water? <TAB
The headphone output can sometimes give you very different quality than the speaker outs. Where you cd player was designed with headphones in mind, soundcards like regular stereos can give you subpar performance due to their focus on enhancing main speaker output. Yea sounds about rite, guess i got lucky with the soundcard in my old computer
and as far as the c24 aging tech it doesn't work the way it should Can i ask about carbon dating technique? if i make a mud brik then carbon date it, would the result show the age of the brik or the mud? If i process iron ore to steel, would carbon dating show the age of the steel or the iron ore? If i take hydroge
in other words time doesn't exist it is just here to keep everything from happening at the same time I like this statement. because if your outside of time, yes, everything has already happened and nothing has happened, both at the same time ... 'time'?? hmm wrong concept hehehe
Just what sort of speakers do you have? It could be their fault. the brand is 'Philips', they are the kind used for walkmans etc, they go in your ear. The base output of these speakers is fantastic on my portable cd player, good on my other old pentium4 computer and horriffic on the AMD computer with the soundblaster card. <br/
Hi I dunno if it is just a sickness of my AMD computer but the base output is crapola. At first i was using the motherboard sound output for my earpiece speakers, but that was just rediculous, i could output better sounding base using a needle and a piece of A4 paper! So i went and bought myself a nice sounblaster card thinking that would fix the problem. I was stunned at how little difference it made. Distorted the speakers like crazy too. Do soundblaster cards not bother havi
I havn't seen any posts mentioning that it dousn't still happen. It sounds reasonable not to kill all the population... However, since it is possible to move all of a planets population onto a transport, why wouldn't all of a planets population be used in combat? alternatively, perhaps some kind of planitary surrender mechanism could solve the problem?
I enjoy debates, but this is not the place for one. I would ask that further discussion on this topic be relevant to Dark Avatar, and that further debate be moved to the Off Topic forum. The grand admiral has spoken! Normally i would agree but this post is quite old and would otherwise be forgotten if not for me and Starstriker. <
because energy does not exist without time. How so? Energy is the capacity for doing work. Doing the actual work may require time, but the capacity itself would not rely on time. You have to decide what you believe happens when time is removed. What makes sense to me is that by all definitions, matter, ligh
TGE, I'm no theist, much less a monotheist, but I have to scoff your scoff. AFAIK, if you want to play formal cosmology games, theists are roughly as likely as atheists to win a given bout. To top that, no small number of polytheists, pantheists, animimsts, etc., think the one-god and no-god crowds are seriously missing the big picture. Wha
Is God a concept? Can God have existed before the universe was borne? Can God have ever not existed or is God simply a 'state' of existence that just 'is'? Ah you found the truth behind my words! Well by
What would you miss (or not miss) if you could only play DL? From galciv1 to galciv2 i would miss.... Terror stars, the 'terraforma' project being useful starbase defences that are worth installing selling planets for allot of money unlimited space on planets - yea um planets are, well you see planets are, how can i say
Some game files are saved in 'my documents/games/galciv...". I think they remain in place when you reinstall the game. Try deleting all the files you don't need in the above mentioned directory and see if that works?
no never nice to elite players at work oh wait i don't go to work with elite players Do you mean to say elite players don't work?? Sounds like a fun sledge to me! hehehe
You breathe living things? I breathe air. I'll pay that, got a laugh out of me! A concept. What is a concept if there is no intelligence to conceive? Is love a concept? c
No, a country would not necessarily find itself at war, and if so, not with everyone You do realise i'm talking about a country openly sacrifising people to an alien device?? of course everyone would declare war on them - cm'on man, get real! same goes for the president of the usa, he would never succeed in proceeding with such an order open
To continue my post... Take Motor racing for example, there are countless numbers of factors that can determine if any particular car gains or looses a few seconds. But when that pace car comes out, all those influences no longer proceed to affect the destiny of the race. only if they contributed to the event of 'passing' do they continue to play a part. The same thing aplies to the whole universe in general, people think every little event affects the destiny of the universe forever mo
How does a law rule without a human to interpret and/or execute it?" What is breathing if there are no living things to breathe?
not that i know of. im not sure if there is a record game feature. Otherwise you could download peoples recorded games and watch them unfold. Be nice to see some of the elite players at work!
