I had a quick look at porting OSXP NG to WB5 but I immediately hit what seems to be a major problem: I can't see any way of emulating the mouse-over behavior of the title-bar buttons whereby the mouse-over state of all of them is shown if the mouse is moved over just one of them. If there is a way to do this with the alpha-blended buttons please let me know. If not consider this a plea to add this feature.

Well the package builder completely wrecked the package I was building. The drag-and-drop interface in the main window resulted in some of the filetype icons being displayed as blank (in the window). The filetype icons that weren't blank didn't get applied and it seems to ignore the 'don't restore icons when applying new package' setting. There still isn't a 'new package' item under the 'File' menu: as before its less than obvious how to create a new p
So. As the resident 'hypocrite' I can only say that I'm glad that Dashboard is a piece of s**t. Konfabulator can breathe a sigh of relief. On the other hand I'm glad that Dashboard exists. It makes everyone else strive to improve their own similar offerings. Objectbar + DesktopX sounds like cool combo for windows and having spent the better part of two years coding my own humble offering (SysStats) I can only say that I have a better appreciation of th
apparently judge hasn't been keeping up with the news. apparently judge hasn't seen the latest on how microsoft wants everyone to take their screenshots off of their websites. apparently judge doesn't understand that longhorn is still in beta. apparently judge knows nothing about the evolution between beta and official. apparent
I'm not normally one to speak out on the Mac v. Windows thing but hey. Compare it with that hothouse of OS creativity that is Microsoft. Oh wait. Longhorn is looking more and more like XP every day. One company makes incremental improvements. The other makes incremental regressions.
I don't see a way to get back to a category from a submission page. e.g. on this page https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?LibID=29&SkinID=5539 there is no link to the ObjectDock category.
The thumbnails on W2K5 are way too small, especially in the WB section. Its impossible to get a feel for what a skin looks like from the thumbnail. You can only tell if its black, grey, white or (sommetimes) a different color. Is there an option to increase their size?
So the long road of development continues. Same old same old. Too many ideas, not enough time. I'm a big proponent of agile development. Of course, in my own project I've not applied that methodology and, of course, the project is suffering as a consequence. If I had my code under source code control, if I had unit tests and if I had code documentation development would probably progress a little faster. The issue, really, is that for
Yeah. My site isn't on there either. What's this 'title' business?

I use WFX shadows all the time. WFX could be improved to use per-pixel alpha blending (i.e. 32 bit BMPs) - rather than interpreting the greyscale value as an alpha value. However (as I'm sure you know) that isn't the same as having alpha-blended borders - i.e. I would want the window controls to be on the glassy part of the window.
I suspect that one of the reasons that AVE garnered such vocal support over at A-S is that he was very responsive to the community's 'needs': he rapidly developed a lot of features that people requested, and so - yes - people felt 'ownership' of the application. However, despite the visibility that these people clearly had at A-S I think it would be inaccurate to say that there were more supporters of AveDesk than of, say, Samurize or DesktopX there. The amount of coverage it was gettin
I'd like to download it but I'm worried about what the installer might do to my existing Stardock apps.
Dood its sounds like that vacation you took has unhinged you. I love Stardock products but this diatribe against shareware organizations? I mean: why? It seems kind of unnecessary.
Interesting that most people have focussed on the 'beauty' part of this article. I'm going to focus on this sentence instead: 'The programme suggest s that these men like this situation. They encourage these women to eat, force them to eat in some cases, and actually want them to gain weight, so that they are totally dependent on these men.' This absolutely hits the nail on the head. Many years ago I met a woman who had been in this situation
I think it should be part of ODNT too. If the curent price of ODNT doesn't cover it, up the price a little and add CursorXP to the pot.
I think they look like tinkertoys - and if I was Arlo Rose (c.f. Konfabulator) I would be feeling very agrieved.
Why not put bootscreen up on sourceforge?
Next time you buy something, look at where it was made. 90% of non-persihable goods will be made overseas.
OK. Never done this before, so lets see if it works: Wallpaper: Harley 2006 Dock: Objectdock with a bunch of icons and SysStats (also available for YzDock). Desktop widgets (clock, calendar, weather): DesktopX. Task-bar doodad: ObjectBar (OD Theme). Media player: WA5 with modded iCandy skin (those sell-outs at winamp.com only seem to w
Is this guy on the payroll?
Actually the worst thing about macs is the menu bar.
Whatever. Personally I love my dock.
Yes - thanks. Got a few widgets to update there
