GUI Olympics = GUI World Championships

It's almost time again..

Hard to believe that nearly 2 years have passed but it's almost time to have another one.

Last time it was WindowBlinds, IconPackgaer, and Winamp.

What 3 categories would you like this time? Which websites would you like to see participate?

Windowblinds, Bootskin (something different!), WindowsFX (hopefully your new version will be coming out soon... would be cool to see some WindowsFX effects and shadows taking advantage of new abilities)

I say you keep it the same as last time...but maybe add in a few more categories, like DesktopX themes for instance. But thanks for the heads up...I'm gonna start a new Windowblind skin...just incase.

WindowBlinds and IconPackager are definites in my book. I'd also nominate CursorXP.

It would be very cool to have a non-desktop theme DesktopX category, but the potential variety of entries would complicate judging...might see some neat widgets out of it though.

WindowBlinds, Iconpackager and Winamp. Again. In my opinion, these are the three best categories to work with. I agree with a fourth being added... perhaps Firefox would make a good addition?

RabidRobot might be onto something as well. Maybe an non-category thing... whatever is the coolest DX widget submitted gets the creator a DX Pro license.

Windowblinds, Iconpackager and Winamp

SkinArtistry, Skinbase, Leechbite, Skinplant, Skinning.net, Breed Hive, GUIMagic, Deviant Art(if you must), SkinsFactory(If your forced too)

Considering that I still use many of the WB and IP skins from the past one, I think both of those are musts. Some amazing work came out of the last one.

I would love to see DX widgets thrown in there. There are some amazing ones, but I think incentive to get some more could be a real boost.

I'd love to see a DX/Standalone widget category.

And of course WB.

I'll echo those who want WB, IP and WMP and I'll vote for Sysmetrix or CursorXP

I'll vote for Sysmetrix

If you do Sysmetrix, I'll even take a crack at it.

Windowblinds, IconPackager, and Winamp.
Those are the 3 that usually take the most work to create, so you typically get the greatest ammount of good new work, since there's a big incentive.

Arguments against other categories:
I think a widget category would be awesome, but odds are you'd end up with 90 cool clocks/mail checkers/weather checkers instead of anything really new or innovative.
Firefox is too much of a niche, as far as customization is concerned. Whereas pretty much everyone uses Windowblinds/IP and I'm fairly sure a lot of people use winamp over wmp, I don't think Firefox has even 75% of the userbase.

I'm in favor of WindowBlinds, CursorsXP and Icon Packager, but mostly because those are the three I use most often.

Sounds like fun.

Since DesktopX seems like a lost child at times, perhaps a category for it, especially gadgets might help as well provide for some interesting entries.
I think WB is a given. It generates the most response and is highly popular.
After that I think IconPackager or ObjectDock.

WindowBlinds and DesktopX Gadgets/Widgets. The third category should be either WinAMP or WMP. (Ideally, WMP, because I actually use it)
