Windows update Messed up WB 5

Suggestions?

Wow. This morning,I started up my computer, and it automatically installed a Windows Update. Meh. It restarted as well. When I logged back in, everything was screwy. Most skinned stuff was black, and my computer ran INCREDIBLY INSANELY SLOW. It took ten minutes to bring up the start menu. There was not much HD accessing while it was doing that either. After about half an hour of patience, I managed to unload WB (I'm using 5.0. It worked fine. Now, when I load up any skin, alpha blending or not, it goes crazy. I hate the regular XP look, so what can I do? Any others with this problem, or someone with a solution?

Am I reading this right.... Some folks using illegal software are levying accusations at Stardock because their systems are not behaving as expected? And, their throwing those accusations a free board supplied by Stardock.

Tell me I drank to much "Ruffino Riserva Ducale Oro 2000" last evening or at least I missed the part where those in the wrong said they will make it right in a timely fashion... In either case, the Ruffino was mighty taste.

Vizzue.. With your coputer not working right, have you tried reformatting? That will wipe the whole system to see if it was a software conflict and not hardware. You can do this with your XP Install CD by telling it to install a fresh copy of Windows.
