Whether you're a current subscriber or not, what features of a subscription would make you more likely to subscribe?

WinCustomize subscriptions are currently $19.95 which last 1 year.  After that year, a user can renew for $19.95 which provides 2 additional years.

Subscriptions currently provide:

  • Access to the WinCustomize Premium Browser (program that is a front end to the overall site)
  • Two premium suites
  • Personal Pages (http://frogboy.wincustomize.com).
  • Personal Photo album storage
  • No advertismenets
  • Unlimited use of download bandwidth
  • Access to faster servers

What would be some good additions/changes to this do you think?

The PM/IM "Whos Online" thing sounds interesting..but only if we can hide too!..LoL

Im actually happy with my subscription just the way it is...$20 is dirt cheap for what we get already really..at least I think so...

Apart from a better choice of suites and personal messaging, I'd also like to see a section specific to tutorials, with a menu system to separate topics and programs, etc.....it would be invaluable to newbies, with more in depth information than is possible at times in forum posts.

I say you make a "premuim subscription" being about $10 - $20 more that offers unlimited premium suite downloads


I suggested something similar a while back, whereby subscribers could pay additional amounts to access premium suites and/or programs at discounted prices.....something like a 'shares' system where, say, $5.00 units are bought, the more units, the greater your accessible premium content. Okay, that might be over complicating the idea some, but a premium subscription option would also be good.

LMAO...I think me and CJ fit that bill, Yrgal. I would love to have some more suites (maybe you get a pick of any 3 with a sub), and definitely a friends list type deal with messaging would be nice. A journal or blog thing would be good too And yeah, i know that that's what JU is for.

I always wondered why WC offers 2 premium windowblind skins when they could offer premium suites. Wouldn't premium suites attract more object desktop sales instead of just windowblind sales?

Well!

Best way of making WinCustomize subscriptions better...

Some best skinners here only skin for fun and they have to buy the software to make the skins. We have lost too many of the very best of them - they get discourage and the visitors don't see enough to encourage them to subscribe.

1) More premium goodies to attract the visitors

2) If a skinner is hot (Gets a lot of download and in demand) then he/she gets all the wincustomize’s software for free and a $ check for each skin being downloaded by visitor for an amount of time.

3) This will encourage more talented skinners to be more productive and visitors would want to subscribe to be closer to the family.

Good point. I think it might be because the premium skins are so old, that suites hadn't really gotten popular yet.
