I thought I would give this link to The Humane Society in case anyone is interested in helping the poor animals that were left behind during the evacuation and somehow survived. There are thousands of them. They now have no home, no food, and no fresh water. What they do have is alot of fear, hunger and thirst. Every little bit helps. Please help with what you can so the volunteers can go there and rescue these poor things and their families. Thanks for whatever you can do.

Iben, Here is a link to my second thread at this site. It is asking for, and giving a way to help people, animals and land on a daily basis, not just during emergencies. Maybe now you will feel better.

This is good. I am trying to figure out a way I can give my time (cause the money is low)

I did donate some cash, but not allot, to the humans, but I never thought about the dogs, cats and other animals.
