Me, my Rogue, and my eldest.
Just because I can....this is me playing my guitar in my front yard a few minutes ago.
And this is my eldest...who has suddenly blossomed into a very pretty young lady.

Now you know how much fun "Girls WIth Guitars" can be!!!
I'm learning that! I'm having so much fun with it now that I've made some progress!
Could that first picture be a three fingered D chord? ;~D
GREAT eye! Yes, it was....I was strumming the chorus of 'Turn The Page'.....my fingers hurt and I was giving them a break by playing something easy.
I'll agree, pretty blossoming lady there. And nice flowers too
in that first picture you look either angry or deep in thought.
I was thinking about chord changes and strum patterns, I think.
And nice flowers too
TY...that's a fuschia. It just started blooming....
You look bad ass!
Hehe.....thanks!!
What I am wondering is where in the heck you found capris for short people!! Let me in on the secret!
Actually, those are Tommy's that I got at the thrift store for $3. I wear them all the time, mainly because they're capri's that look like capri's on me...not pants that are just slightly too short. Most of the time when I get capri's I have to re-hem them.
Shea looks gorgeous, too.
Thank you, I'll tell her you said that!
Hey! Ya'll could team up and be another Judds!
Actually, she said that she wants a guitar for her birthday. D and I figured we'd mark her coming into teenage-hood with a cool acoustic and some accessories. Hopefull by next summer rolls around Shea and I will be able to sit on the patio together in the evening and entertain our neighbors with some tunes!
Also, I got some sunglasses like that...
Thos are Gargoyles, and I got them on sale last spring....I've had them for over a year, which is a record for me because I usually lose sunglasses a week after I get them (and just because i said that I'll prolly misplace mine tomorrow!!)

Might just be the glasses, but in that first picture you look either angry or deep in thought
TY...that's a fuschia. It just started blooming....
and you DO look like a rocker

great profile shot, killer guitar-gim'my love to yor offspring.
I will Aeryck, and thank you!
Marcie:
I'd love to be a fly on the wall in your house just for an hour
It's probably not what you expect....a lot of shouting (in our family we all talk at the same time so if you want to be heard you just have to talk louder than everyone else) and a few fights (the boys bicker, which leads to fisticuffs)...but we do talk about a lot of stuff that I guess most people wouldn't consider 'normal'.
lol...Karen...you're just so damned cool.
Ha!! I might look cool, but in reality I'm just a geeky wanna-be hippie! Thanks anyway though!
SNS:
If you can play three chords and pick, you can play half the guitar music ever written.
The more tunes I learn, the more I see that this is the case. D, Am, C and G all seem to be the most popular.
Those are Impatiens, btw.
Trudy:
The only things I've gotten in spring is impatients cause I love the colors
That's what those are in the blue pot. I have some different color ones in the backyard, and I also have some seedlings that I'm going to transfer this weekend.
Maso:
And it looks like you really starting to get comfortable with it as well.
I am. It doesn't feel awkward anymore.
long, long legs.
I know! I was looking at her picture just now and and it just occured to me that that child has legs for freakn' miles!! Long arms, too! She's only 1" shorter than me now, and she's got bigger feet and hands. Once she grows out of her gangly stage she's going to be quite a looker, I think - but then I'm her mother so I'm biased!
Me too but I only lose expensive pairs.
The ones I'm wearing were on sale and I got them for $20 (they were normally $100), and so far I've been really good about not losing them....the cheapo ones I get always get lost or sat on or broken in some way. D's always going on at me to get quality stuff, and those were the first 'quality' pair I've ever owned - and they were well worth it.

Ty, Dynosaur!
You forgot one there good-looking. What about "f"?
Hey Dr....I've been trying to avoid 'f' because it's a bitch for me to play (got little hands) but you're right, that's the one I left out.
And BTW mom's no slouch in the leg department either
Well, thank you...but I think I have short stumpy little legs. It's all in the eye of the beholder, I guess..?!
If so don't let you old man see this post. He might get upset.
Yes, I'm married. Been hitched to the same dude for 11 plus years now. He doesn't have a problem with my posting pics of myself...in fact, I posted one of me in a bikini over on Shovelheat's blog and he never complained about it. He reads my blog, so he sees what I'm posting....so far it hasn't been a big deal.

Got news for you woman. The "f" chord is a "bitch" for *anyone* to play. That is unless your fingers are 6-8" long!
That's very true.....for anyone who doesn't know, the 'f' requires you to have your fingers on all 6 strings over 3 frets. 'But I only have 4 fingers and a thumb!' I hear you say....and that right there is the reason it's a bitch to play.
Unfortunately MS has robbed me of the control required in my left hand to play. What used to be decent music now sounds like a female cat in heat!
I never knew that about you. I knew that you have neuralgia, but not MS. I won't say I'm sorry that you have it because you probably are sick to death of that (even though I AM sorry that you have it) ...but I do wish you well with it. I had to have an MRI and a spinal tap done last year because my doc thought I was showing symptoms of MS. They bother were negative, but I learned a lot about the disease and the way it manifests itself. It's a sneaky bugger, huh?
And BTW tell your hubby he's a lucky man!
Aww, thank you...and yes, I'll tell him1
I do believe this is the first time I have "seen" your face,, thank you I do love "eye candy" lol

I already saw that one and had to stop to clean the drool off my K/B.
Ooh you flatterer, you!
So, when are you going to tell me about yourself in that picture?

The trigeminal neuralgia was caused by the MS.
I have heard that that is one of the most painful conditions....and the sad thing is that the treatments for it are very limited.
What did you do when you were able to work? And how long have you been *retired* for?
