As predicted by this humble man, jesse jackson is teaming up with the handcuffed 5 year out of control childs mother to , what else? WHY SUE of course. What a guy!! and the mother should be arrested for having an out of control child, but as always when black people are involved, everyone is running scared and jackson moves in for the kill and publicity.

reverend Al paved the way for jesse to get some, "al" went there first last week, he was on "the no spin zone" {al that is} and al said he was going to right this wrong and it was not about race.. bill asked al when was the last time al helped a poor white person and all hemmed and hawwwed.

And i dont care if the child is black, white, purple, or plaid. It's wayyy outta line.

What is Jesse doing?...I think its obvious. He's trying to run a "reverse" OJ. The black community learned a valuable lesson from the civil suit brought against OJ. The way to get justice it to hit someone where it hurts...Right in the wallet.

Racism is not a "whites only" domain. All you have to do is not like anybody different than you. I don't know if Jesse really is one or not. Sometimes i wonder if the white establishment is also running a reversal on this topic. They called Malcom X a racist. He definately had no love for the white establishment. But what you have to understand is that (and some of you older JU folks know this) is that in his time Racism was more of an institution that was accepted across the board. So to get the message out you had to make bold and controversial statements to get attention. I think that over the years it has translated into "hitting them in the wallet" rather than "kill whitey". It's also a sign of how our morals have changed in the past 40-50 years. Money over justice.


It's a sad statement of our society that we value the allmighty dollar over justice.

totally agreed... handcuffing any child is wayyyyyy over the top, did the cops judgement suck? hell yes, were they racist, the jury is still out on that one.

I said so at the time, that the mother should have been arrested.  The cops showed poor judgement, but the mother is criminal.

I have to agree with thatoneguy. It was madness handcuffing the child regardless. And Jesse is just doing what he does best and the best way would be to hit them in the wallet.

And Mod I don't think the cops were racist they just used poor judgement. They did question themselves yes (according to the news report I heard), but they went ahead and did it anyway. Calm heads should have ruled, they didn't. Would they have handcuff another child of another race? Why are we even thinking or asking this question?

What has not been said here, but should be, is that the cops should never have been called.  But if any of the teachers or administrators had tried to restrain the child, you can imagine the outcry from that sorry excuse for a mother.

The cops did what they were trained to do.  They cooled the situation.  But they are not trained to deal with 5 year old spoiled brats, and so it was not appropriate in this case.  I do not fault them.  I fault the mother first, lawyers and jackson second, and the administrators third.

Face it, it was a no win situation for all except the victim mother.  And she should still be locked up!

Charge #1: Failure to adequately care for her child - Child Abuse.  A parent sometimes cannot be your best friend

Charge #2: Failure to provide a good example for the Child

Charge #3: For failure to be a human being.  And making this an issue.  It was her fault all the way around.  If she was being a parent and not a best friend, the incident would have never happened.

since doc answered the other parts of your questions I will handle these, We think these questions because of guilt. plain and simple, WE treated blacks so badly for so many centuries the guilt is unrelenting.

I understand.  But just remember, I am a Jew once removed.  We only dont agree on one leeettle thing (ok, maybe not little).

I am use to it because I am conservative.  But I have learned those doing the firing are the true racist. Remember Liberal rule #2:  Accuse those you do not agree with with your crimes before they accuse you of them.
