How many actual JUsers out there?

How many actual JUsers out there?

I was wondering how many of us come around here in a daily basis. I mean of course, there's the ranking list but there are names in there i've never seen before.

I know it could be due to the time difference. But i'm sure there are also some people who've stopped blogging.

It amazes me how many people are blogging in here. I'm sure i only see the top of the iceberg.

So my fellow JU, how often do you blog?

(i'm so excited, i'm sure i'll get to 'meet' some new people or people that have been around and that i dont know about :) )

Salute Parated! *slap my forehead, ouch!*

Island-gurl, just a word of advise... never try to salute with a bottle in your hand!! ;~D

I used to be a hardcore JU addict, but that's tapered off a bit. I still read most everyday and comment in whatever spare time I can grab. I haven't been writing much lately...I used to do one or more articles a day, but lately I've had tons to blog about but can't because of who is reading my blog. I miss it.

This was a neat idea for a blog, islandgurl.

Texas Wahine: Audiences? Create one of all the people you'd want to read your articles and then whenever you blog something that you don't want whoever it is you don't want to read use that audience and they won't be able to read it. Or not, your blog, your choice.

I read almost everyday and usually comment once or twice a day. Article posting is variable. There was a time when it was every 2 days. Now it is more like once every 10 since I'm back at uni. I suppose at some point I should add to my running articles.

drmiler, i didnt know you were disabled?? Sorry to hear about that...

Not as sorry as I am, I'll bet.
Thanks for the thought anyway!

Hehe, zoomba, i might agree with you about the 4 bloggers thing, lol. See you're here everyday of the week but i hardly 'see' you!

I comment a fair bit, post every now and then, but mostly about technical stuff. My articles don't tend to be high-visibility so most figure I never blog. 53 articles in about a year and a half on the site.

I only post a blog when I have something substantial to write about, or a question to ask... so I tend to blog "under the radar"

Island Gurl: Thanks . I enjoy your articles as well!

I check in daily. I may not post everyday, but I check JU out every day. Helps pass the time at work when I'm not teaching or working on projects.

NJforever: haha! you know what, you should we should have our on union of authors not helped by their muse, and start lobbying for better services!

ParaTed: I knew something nasty would happen with that bottle of whisky,

Texas Wahine: Yes! Indeed a hardcore user *wink*! I hope you've followed Danny's advice, when you need to blog about something you should just do it. A selection of your audience sounds like a terrific idea (hey people, isnt Danny a genius???!)
This was a neat idea for a blog, islandgurl
Thanks Tex

Moderateman, hehe, i dont think there's an anidote four our cases. We're doomed to blog on even if our muses die (that's right i said die beeotch!!! Get back to work NOW *me yellin at my muse*).

Toblerone, gee i read your name and now i got an urge for chocolate! What do you study at uni?

Sorry if i'm being rude to ask drmiler, but how did it happen? Ya dont have to answer if you dont want to...

Zoomba:
so I tend to blog "under the radar"

Ah ha! An undercover blogger!

Thanks Inbloom, you're so sweet

chiprj: Yeehee! another daily one

I do all the religious kool-aid drinker blogs, and articles on current and pressing issues though I don't write them. So I am called a troll.
I only have two articles on my site....cry.....one written by a man that championed the cause of abortion for many years. He died of cancer sometime back, his name is Francis Schaeffer and was the pioneer of L'abri Fellowship in Switzerland. He is a fantastic writer and wonderful Christian Philosopher. The other is about Homosexuality...that is a hot issue here in South Africa....the author is a friend by with a Doctor's Degree in Divinity, and presents the BIblical Perspective. Something a lot of bloggers could do well reading to see how a proper article is ventilated, with bibliography etc. Hearsay was what killed me to kool-aid junkie status. I hope I will somehow figure my dilemma out. Being nice is definitely a clue, but I love to tease, so I shall forever be in the twighlight zone of this blogg. I have some artillery my talking Monkey, who I affectionately call Monk, can pull of this blogg bit time. He skateboards, plays soccer, is totally sussed in how to debate the evolutionists, etc. I have given up selling kool-aid, and will be selling my Cd's, that should cause a polite war...to say the least....this is a fabulous blog and i think I might stay.............................sssssssssssssssssssss went the snakes.....hisssssssssssssssss went the snakes grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrowwwwwwwwwl went the sick dogs yap went Zoomba who dissed me publically again...children you still have not got it, we are visible...............shhhhhhhhhhh I hear everyone.....oh.......damn.....when will they ever just let me be a Monk..............I love Monk he is just like Martin Luther, he does not care what people think, he is armed and dangerous and hates fake humans.......me to....no way said Monk............bye now Islandgurl thanks for your friendly comments....you are always welcome.....Monk says hi

Sounds like a great idea!

I'm on every day, usually just commenting on others' work. I've only written 6 articles. They tend to be on the long side, so I don't write about anything unless I'm very inspired or motivated by it.

NJForever, your muse always would slack off. If I were her boss, she'd be fired immediately.

I'm here everyday, usually posting once or twice a day. After I get done with my homework, I write my blogs afterwards.

Now that my other favorite website has jumped the shark, I'll probably be able to read more.

She appears to be making up for it. Even you, my biggest critic, think well of my last 2 articles.

I come here daily. I need a life!

I go in fits and starts. I definately get on more when my husband is out of town.

I have to fight for time on the unclassified network computers here or I would post rather more often tha n I do...
I'm here at least once everyday either from home or while I'm on my half hour lunch (when the Sarg will let me borrow his computer that is.) I don't always write full articles mostly just reading and commenting on other people's stuff. Usually when I do have an idea for an article it's when I'm nowhere near a computer. Maybe that's why I'm so low on the totem pole. Oh well, I like coming here anyway.

Actually Jepel did a piece a long time ago that strongly suggests commenting is the way to the top. It certainly makes people want to read your articles in return...

Nebraskawoman, you aren't low on the totem pole. You are only 4 places (in rank) behind The Great, Splendid, Magnificent, Omniscient Fazz.

Hey Aeryck, so you're a troll huh? lol, it's not that bad. Even I post some jokes that i get on my email from time to time!! Thank you for your comment Aeryck, and say hi to Monk

NJForever

The Fazz, 6 articles? Man i see you around so much (commenting that is) that i really thought you had a never ending list of articles! Yep, appearances can be deceiving....

Dusk 411, what do you mean 'jumped the shark' ?

messybuu, noooooo dont get a life!!!! We all know that when we get a life we will never be on the top 10 bloggers list

Locamama, i understand. We're all hia to keep you company when locopapa isnt home!

greywar, mmm, how about getting your own computer?

Nebraskawoman, damn, sounds like we all need a laptop so that we can write articles anywhere anytime!!!

Greywar, yep it's true i noticed that commenting on others is actually more rewarding (in points i mean) than writing articles.

Hey the Fazz

I do wish I had more articles under my belt, but at least I can say I'm satisfied with the ones I have. I comment a lot, though. Sometimes my comments can be stand-alone articles. With only 6 articles, I can honestly say 1/6 of them were featured on JU's front page.

Well c'mon man, get ur muse to work!

Wow, to be that close to greatness.

I don't know if that's whats going to get me up there but I enjoy it and if people check out the few things I have, well that's a nice bonus.

That's about the truth. I hate when it happens because by the time I get to the computer I've forgotten half of what I wanted to write.

Lucky you, I have yet to have that honor. I'll have to check out the rest of your articles. I've read a couple of them, I want to see if the rest are as good as them.

Well c'mon man, get ur muse to work!

I think my muse is in a coma or something. It just doesn't seem to want to help me out. Can I trade her in?
