Personal Icon and Nickname meaning

Well I gotta tell ya, some of these personal icons are awesome. Jinn Fizz and Stupendous Man are two of my favorites. I'm interested in the meaning behind them. To some it just looks cool, to some there may be some history. Also, I think I know why BoXXi's is a box, but I don't know why he's BoXXi. What makes Corky_O Corky? Why does butch have a 123 and a motorcycle? What's a Jafo? Why did sbgFX kill the Spyder?

So if you got a minute, tell us why you chose your nickname and what, if anything, your icon represents.

I won't go first this time. Someone else.

I bet I'm the saddest and most pathetic....I have mine tattooed on my shoulder.

Hardly....reminded of mine every time I look into the bathroom mirror....not a pretty sight. .....and every time I see a cat.

As for the cantankerous kitty, believe it or not, well he lived to the ripe old age of 19.4 (human years), and died in his sleep about 6 years ago. Despite the embarrassment he caused me, I WAS rather attached to Frog, the name given to him by my 'then' wife, who got it from a character in How the West Was Won, with James Arness.

Smedley is a nic I call my son. I don't know why. It just happened when I was serving him breakfast and I said 'Here's your Poop-Tart, Mr. Smedley." in my best british accent. And Po' is short for Poor. That's me..Po' Smedley. I hate my icon but can't think of anything else.

You ain't gonna let me fergit 'bout that cat, are ya?

"all good things come in threes"

Not necessarily.....trigamy would mean having to have 3 mother-in-laws. 3 EX-wives means 3 EX-mother-in-laws, but to have 'em all at once.....where's those nice young men in their clean white coats.....

My mother is an 'in-law' to my wife, and they get on famously, so no offense to the mother-in-laws out there.

'Here's your Poop-Tart,

Now if I had said that to my kids, they'd have thrown them at me....best British accent, or not

Starkers-- with all that's going on in your life, you might have missed SD's update of your avatar. Let's see if he will bring it over to this thread...

The original is at my office. I dragged it over from the other thread.

lol.
I have a 10 yo boy who thinks anything to do with 'poop, fart, chirping, or snot' is a riot. His mother doesn't approve of my 'encouragement' of this..snicker...but I love to make him laugh.

Himangshu is just another name that seems to be lucky for me.
'Himangshu' means the moon.
Hope no need to explain anything about my personal icon.

I dunno, Po, you're skating on thin ice there....encouraging mirth and merriment over such things, much to your wife's disapproval. When my son was a lad he used to go to extremes to make farts a joke....yet it was always me who copped the wrath of his mother. If I didn't berate him for it, I'd end up in the dog house.....or......

Now I look back on it....could be why I got shut outside with the cat
