Personal Icon and Nickname meaning

Well I gotta tell ya, some of these personal icons are awesome. Jinn Fizz and Stupendous Man are two of my favorites. I'm interested in the meaning behind them. To some it just looks cool, to some there may be some history. Also, I think I know why BoXXi's is a box, but I don't know why he's BoXXi. What makes Corky_O Corky? Why does butch have a 123 and a motorcycle? What's a Jafo? Why did sbgFX kill the Spyder?

So if you got a minute, tell us why you chose your nickname and what, if anything, your icon represents.

I won't go first this time. Someone else.

I posted it earlier in this thread, but will copy/paste/edit it, Bichur. Thank you for asking. In Japanese, a reclining dragon (garyou) is kind of like a person waiting to burst out. A man of potential or a good man hidden among the masses. I don't think I'm a good man; but one that can always improve. A person who has not reached their full potential. ...and damn, I love naps.

Just thought the icon I was working on looked cool, so I made it my avatar. Then I realized in February 05 that it was a terrible subconscious mimicry of DanilloOc's, so it has morphed a couple of times. This one may stick. May not.

starkers:
Ohhh, that story is too funny

It is now I look back many years later, but it was far from amusing at the time....being intentionally shut out was bad enough, but the sudden illumination of the porch shed an unwanted light on the siuation which brought uproarious laughter from inside....my already reddened face going a deep, deep crimson right down to my toes I'm by no means a prude, but certainly the complete opposite of an exhibitionist and couldn't get that 'what if somebody saw me' out of my mind for ages. It didn't necessarily cause me nightmares...providing I wore PJ's

And yeah, SD, it is an interesting thread for posting it...and thanks again for the Sumo guy

Back from when I used to play EverQuest, Solosturm was my first ever char.
I have not since quit EQ (it IS like crack!), and have traded it for Skinning.

My name, as it has been for a few years now, is now Solo.Dev (even in my gmail address), ad a testiment that i am a Solo Developer in C++ and VB.

The avatar is a testament to OSX and Redhat, two of my favorite OSes.

Ha, ha....SD you really crack me up My original thought was something similar....but using an actual pic of a Buddah 'type' guy with a strategically placed caricature of a cat. You know....a Sylvester type with pronounced claws and a menacing look on its face

The more I think about it, the more I can see a 'Mr Bean' episode doing the re-enactment.

Time to change it then. Flying Dragon....Running Dragon.....Crouching Dragon. We can all tell your a good man Bill, much better than you give yourself credit for.

Thanks Lantec. "Sleeping" keeps me striving. I know it's weird, but I am of the understanding that "if any man thinks he stand, let him take heed lest he fall" I do appreciate your very kind words, though. I'm still interested in the real people that are behind all these images of light that we post. I hope those who have not posted here yet will do so, so we can get to know a slice of your life.

1st or 2nd Corinthians......I can't remember which. But it's true. I give God the credit, but rarely anyone else. My wife would be the first one to tell you that humility is not one of my virtues as I so seldom use it. "Endeavor to Persevere"

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,I know that full well.

Psalm 139, I have always loved that chapter.....
