I dont have a solution, rather a question if there is a collected threads with infos to logon studio. Seems there are a few troubles with logons and a bit of documentation compiled in one thread could help
My problem is that the bars with the different useres that can log on are pretty much randomly spread, never in the place where they are depicted in the screenshots of the logon screens that can be downloaded. They all seem to show a fixed area where you can click your account while in my case they are very opaque and hidden somewhere else on the logon screen. Strange.

87Jai; open your 'Theme.ini' file (this file is in your LogonStudio\'Name of the Logon you are creating'-folder) with Notepad and count the lines from the top (without the lines in square brackets). At line 8 look at the bmp it refers to (e.g. ButtonUnDock=Bitmap_108.bmp). Check in your folder whether this bmp file (with the exact the same name) exists (in this case Bitmap_108.bmp).

det: which logons do you have problems with? It is normal for the logon area to be initially semi-transparent until mouseover. Also note that some of the screenshots were taken at another resolution an might therefore not exactly match what you will have on your computer.

Sorry, sorted out a few problems myself..mainly the ones with opacity and placement..yeah and resolution. Just took some fiddling and not be afraid to mess something up. (and suffering through a few "runtime 13" errors

Would you always recommend starting to build a new logon screen from scratch? Because I have been experimenting with overwriting and altering old logon screens. sometimes gradients won't work, sometimes when I click the user accounts to log in, that blue underlying windows color shines still through though I changed the Gradient. (for the center panel)
So..some mysteries remain, but I am sure I will have my very own logon screen sonn..and maybe it is good enough to be uploaded.

Hours of fun so far

Yes, I would definitifely start with a new logon (i.e. click on the 'new' button in logonstudio). You will still have the default 'luna' logonscreen to use as a template.

Also, make sure before you upload that all graphics are your own. If you have imported graphics from another logon (published here or at any other site), you will not be allowed to upload your work, unless you have written permission of the original author to do so. In that case you will have to include this permission with your upload.

Yes, I now noticed that the original "luna" is a "problem". Apparently I need to plan a good deal ahead and know what graphic templates I need. Those I would then customize in Photoshop.

Getting a little bit further with every attempt and the latest one only uses my own creations

Is there a general discrepancy that I should be aware of between European (german) and English Window versions? I mean...the previews always show for example the "go" arrow next to the user logon..which never displays in my german version.

Afterthought: Why does Photoshop say it does not recognize the format of bitmap_113 and bitmap_119. Those are the buttons you click when you select a user. Paint opens them. What is the secret?
And the german "Diablo2" logon that I downloaded from here cannot be opened, while the english that is included produces a "runtime 13 "error when trying to edit. But in the end, every logon screen that I tried and applied performed flawlessly..so thats the main thing ....

I don't know whether there is a difference in logon-screens for different languages. The 'go' button in the my (English) version only shows up after I clicked onto my user account.

I am also not sure why you can't open these two files in Photoshop, I created a new (Luna) logon and was able to open these two files without a problem. They might have come corrupted somehow? Try to create a new logon and see whether you can open these two files from there.
