I have a real neato idea. Why don't ALL of you who are involved in the latest flame war take your beefs off JU? The rest of us are sick and tired of you people airing your dirty laundry every goddamn day. Play your childish namecalling game somewhere else because quite frankly the rest of us could give a shit about your drama. Do you have so little in your lives that this is how you handle things? Making yourselves look like a bunch of idiots? Well that's what you people are doing. How about blacklisting? You people ever hear of that? Try it. You might find it works.

Ya know, i am almost longing for the days of november when we had quite the war going on. At least then we had legitimate beefs to flame each other over. This shit nowadays is just pathetic and ALL of you should be ashamed of yourselves for acting like this. Are you not adults? Do you not have the skills to deal with each other as such?

Snarkiness aside, I do agree with your general sentiments. Everyone needs to step back and breathe a bit, and then remind themselves that this is "just another website" Granted it's a pretty cool one with some neat people, but in the end it's nothing more than a web site and if they find themselves getting worked up over it, they're taking it too seriously and may benefit from some time away.

It's the constant feuding of late that has driven me from reading JU lately... I just don't care to sift through the mudslinging to get to the good stuff. Does anyone remember Brad's "Stages of Community" (or soemthing like that) article where he outlined the stages an online community goes through as it grows? Isn't there something like this in it?

All I know is that I let myself get dragged into the fray a couple of times this week, and I wish I hadn't.  Some of what was said really hurt me, and I reacted instead of thinking things through.


It won't happen again though.  I'm sorry for upsetting some of you....and I did try to resolve the situation in a less public fashion but no-body else wanted to play by those rules.
