Coffee or Tea

Coffee or Tea

and what type or style

Having dropped all other physical addictions, I am very happy to be a coffee and tea addict. I drink the mud in the morning and switch to a less stimulating tea at night. Both beverages have health benefits. Coffee in moderation and tea all the time. So I am curious as to how often, what type and what method of brewing people use.

I buy coffee beans (Caribou, Eight O'Clock, or Gevalia) and grind them every couple of days so they are fairly fresh and brew via the drip method in a cone filter. On weekends I break out the cappucino machine and indulge in half espressso and half steamed cream.

At night I indulge in green tea from the Stash Tea company. I try to drink a few cups of this as it is loaded with antioxidants. I use loose tea leaves and infuse them in a cast iron Tetsubin teapot from Japan.

I find these beverages to be two of the good things in life. How about you?

I'm chemically dependent! Only one cup of coffee a day, then I refill it about 15 times.

...and I use a BIG cup!

My favorite coffee shop (right across the street from the commuter rail station) sees me coming and hands me a medium size cup of half coffee half hot chocolate. YUMMMMY!

TasT lives on Latte's.

I get up at 3:30 AM and make a cup (32 oz) to get the day started. Once at work around 5AM, I down probably 3 more cups. Then I switch to Diet Mountain Dew or Iced Tea. In the evening I move to Lipton Green tea.

As I have stated in these type threads before, Lavazza is the most excellent coffee bean but, I only use it on occasion because it cost $20 a pound here. so most of the time I get 100% colombian whole bean foldgers. It's cheap and pretty darn good.....

Coffee, coffee, coffee. Dark roast and strong, about 7 cups a day. Have them drop in a nice shot or two of espresso, just for a kick, when I get it from the coffee shop.

Drink coffee just about every morning. Depending on my mood (and need to be wired... hehehe) I'll have between 1 - 3 cups.

I begin my day with 2 cups of coffee [my husband brings my first cup so I have it in bed] then MAYBE one at work during the day. And yes, sometimes it's Starbucks!

I LOVE all sorts of tes so couldn't begin to list them all. They fall out of my kitchen cabinet I have so many!

Oh, yes, I forgot. I use whole beans freshly ground and a DeLonghi coffee brewer. And I also have an espresso machine...

Ah, don't be too impressed. I am a steel, copper, brass, stainless, aluminum man from a ways back, and I do like the aroma and flavor of quality coffee, but am just a regular guy. Thanks for the comment, sapphira.

Sorry to drag this old thread up, but as I was feeling the breeze of a post rain shower morning and drinking my dark cup of Eight O'Clock coffee, I realized again what a great beverage this is. I'm drinking it very strong and rich, half & half (cream) and sugar added. It goes so well with a somber sky.
