Coffee or Tea

and what type or style

Having dropped all other physical addictions, I am very happy to be a coffee and tea addict. I drink the mud in the morning and switch to a less stimulating tea at night. Both beverages have health benefits. Coffee in moderation and tea all the time. So I am curious as to how often, what type and what method of brewing people use.

I buy coffee beans (Caribou, Eight O'Clock, or Gevalia) and grind them every couple of days so they are fairly fresh and brew via the drip method in a cone filter. On weekends I break out the cappucino machine and indulge in half espressso and half steamed cream.

At night I indulge in green tea from the Stash Tea company. I try to drink a few cups of this as it is loaded with antioxidants. I use loose tea leaves and infuse them in a cast iron Tetsubin teapot from Japan.

I find these beverages to be two of the good things in life. How about you?

Coffe, stong...2 to 3 cups in the morning. For long road trips, StarBucks Doubleshot Espresso is wonderful! Once in awhile, I'll have chamomile tea, but mostly a coffee drinker.

Earl Grey Looseleaf tea, used with an infuser, and just a small drop of honey
I blame my wife, before that all i drank was good old southern ice cold sweet tea.

I drink about ten coffees a day. Cappucino and Maxwell house. And I do drink the occasional cup of tea. And the good thing in the winter a little shot of rye in the coffee...warms the blood.

Coffee then more coffee! As you can probably guess from my nick I buy and grind my own beans. At the moment I'm using
Guatemala Elephant Beans, ground in a Dualit burr grinder an brewed in a Porsche machine.
Always wanted the car but had to make do with the coffeemaker!
Oh well time to fire up the Porsche.

Tea, Earl Grey, Hot

Never liked coffee, couldn't acquire the taste for it.

I have about 15 varieties or blends of tea that I pick from, with Earl Grey and green tea being the primary flavors I partake.

I am a coffee addict. I wouldn't be able to get out of the bed in the morning withouth a real strong black coffee (Lavazza). In fact, I wouldn't be able to think without my daily caffeine-shot.

Coffee - 3 cups a day.
Hot cocoa during night time.

Tea, 4-5 cups a day. Just a plain old Lipton tea bag. Although when I frequent tea houses I indulge in a variety of them. In particular, I like vanilla and Lady Grey.

SuperheroCanadian, why not just hook up an i.v. bag full of that stuff and let it trickle directly into your blood stream?

I'm chemically dependent! Only one cup of coffee a day, then I refill it about 15 times.

Does that mean you don't drink coffee, or just don't want to conform to the trendy stuff?

Glorious, Gloria Jean's coffee is what gets me kickin' in the a.m.

Ground fresh, and brewed through a drip filter ...nothing beats it.

Love that 'mudslide' (a mixture of strong coffee ~with a hint of chocolate hiding underneath)

Diet Coke to start the day and cleanse my pipes, then a couple cups of coffee while at work. Ice tea for dinner and hot tea in the evening.

About 10 years ago I picked up at the local flea market two things: a 2lb. capacity coffee bean mill and an espresso machine that can cook up a 16 cup batch at a time. If I could grow my own beans I would. So I end up getting whatever, and throw them all into the mill together. Needless to say I've come up with some mighty paculiar concoctions. I really prefer my homemade beer. But not in the morning. No, sir.

Never been too keen on coffie. It's the taste. Not too keen on tea either, but since I study in England now it's hard to get away.
