Step 1. File extension must not be hidden. If you're unsure what that means, open Control Panel > Folder Options > View tab > "Hide extensions for known file types" should be un-checked.

Step 2. Right-click the file and select Rename. Change the zip part of the name to the proper extension. Example skin1.zip = skin1.wba
If you get a warning about changing the extention, click OK

Step 3. Double-click the renamed file.

OK, so I unchecked that tab. Then renamed the file, what was: ChristmasTime.zip is now ChristmasTime.wba
Now when i do this i get that warning, and i click ok. But then the file turns into one of those little white icons which when you click it it takes you to a window that says windows does not read that file type.

Am i missing anything here?

the christmas one i want is here if it makes it clearer.

DO you have the WindowBlinds program installed? You can't use WindowBlinds skins without it. https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/

You'll need IconPackager to use iptheme files. https://www.stardock.com/products/iconpackager/
In each library you'll find a link to the required software in the Library Description (near top of page)
