Start 11 is unreliable

I tried to respond in the forum concerning this issue, but could find no way to enter my information.  I am using Start 11 on Windows 10.  Start 11 is very unstable.  I frequently try to click on the Start 11 button, only to find it has stopped working and then has to re-assert itself.  I have checked repeatedly in Object Desktop to see if there were any update that would make the Start 11 button more stable.  Object Desktop always says there is an update to Start 11.  I instruct it to update Start 11, and it appears to do so.  I am required to start the computer over, and I have done that.  But the Start 11 button has not been updated.  Object Desktop still says there is an update available for Start 11.  I decided maybe I should just go online to stardock.com, to my account and pull up my downloads.  So I did that.  I downloaded the Start 11 software from my account, and it succeeded; I started my computer over, and now I still find Start 11 quitting , then reloading, then quitting, then reloading.  I cannot reliably select any application software from within the Start 11 menu, and never from the Start 11 extended menu of applications.  I like the Start 10 and  Start 11 buttons, but Start 11 is flaky and unreliable.  It does not update itself when asked to do so.

Disgruntled,

Thanks.  On my account|download page on stardock.com, the version I would download is listed as version 1.11 of the Start 11 application.  Is that the version 1.15 you were talking about?  I think it's different that what you mentioned.

version 1.15
End of pdm502's quote

Version 1.15 is a beta release. The change log there is more specified for Windows 11 users so you may want to stay at version 1.11 which is the latest stable build.

Version 1.11 has a known issue of stating that there is always an update even when there is not.

I personally would follow the purge instructions and reinstall version 1.11. If that still does not work you can try the Beta release here https://forums.stardock.com/510777/page/1/#3841441, although this is a beta release and is usually less stable then release builds.
