Start 11

Shortcut lists

Can someone explain to me what the quick access shortcut list does. I was at  "Start Menu >  Configuration,  ".  I changed download to a "a display as menu" and it disappeared. I have no idea where it went.

I was hoping there was a faq or a small doc showing some of these little things that are not self explanitory  except to experienced users.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Which Start Menu Style you're using? If its Windows 7 or Modern Style. The quick access shortcut list will be on your right. Something like the screenshot below.

Thanks

I am using Win10 option. There is nothing on the right side. On the left side is all the programs. Next to that is my Icons which is 3 columns wide only.

I tried Modern but I didn't like the appearance nor what the Icons show. I can let this go for now, as I don't see any value of a Quick  Access List. Probably many others do, but I am one who really like the start of Win10.

I still like this a lot better than what Win 11 has done with the Start Menu and appears to be the only thing close to what I am used to.

On Windows 10 menu the quick access options are on the left hand side of the menu shown as icons aligned to the bottom above the shutdown button.
