Signing up for a Stardock account

I tried to create a Stardock account but kept getting the error "you can use special characters.... but not at the start".

I wasn't using those characters, and certainly not at the start.

I've ended up with a crazy account as it was the only way I could find past the signup.... 

... and now I'm wondering how to change my email, username etc?
