Windows 10 won't let me install updates

Hey all, since a few days windows won't let me install updates of Start 10. 

I get the following message:

"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."

But, I am the administrator and as far as I am aware, nothing has changed about this computer for over more than a month.

Does anyone have an idea what can cause this problem please.

I am runnung Windos 10, latest release, on a MacBook Pro and use Norton 360 antivirus. Norton has been checked and is not causing the problem.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. You should also check out this solution that was posted by others : https://forums.stardock.com/495061/get;3752508 . It may or may not work in your situation. Please try it and report back.

Thanks to all of you for your input and support.

After creating a new user, as suggested in the first response, I was able to install the update. It is obvious that I will need to do a clean install of Windows to avoid this problem in the future.
