Fences at startup

Hello to all. I have been using Fences for quite a while, but I have a problem that I cannot solve. When the computer starts, only the wallpaper and no icons appear. Certainly I have something wrong in the configuration, but I don't understand what. And the fact that it's all written in English complicates things a lot. Can you help me understand please? And when an Italian version?
