Function to make tabs on task bar

grouping similar programs to clean up the task bar

So I am not sure if this a feature I haven't found yet or ends up being a suggestion.

I have on my windows taskbar (currently), some are pinned, some are just active... Watsapp, Messenger, Zoom, Windows Your Phone, Discord, Slack - and Skype if i ever need to speak to my mother...

Anyway is there a way to group things on the taskbar? As they are all the same purpose, just a different medium.

If this doesn't exist as a feature in the suite and gets filed under dev suggestions:

Then could I also add that if non pinned programs get moved into a grouping, a function to choose,  when it gets opened again to auto drop it back into the group would be a great extra feature.

Same as choosing an icon for the group or how the grouping appears on the task bar - what icons etc.

That function is something can be done with Stardock's Fences, just that it is not on taskbar. It on desktop, but it can be park just above the taskbar. For more on Fences you can get it from here : https://www.stardock.com/products/fences/
