Groupy Won't Stay Maximized When Automatically Grouping

One of my monitors is split into three zones.

If an app needs focus, I maximize it and do work. When I'm done, I restore it to it's zone. Typical window "Maximize" and "Restore" button operations.

I set groupy to open new windows from these apps into the tab group.

So now, when I maximize and open an email, for instance, Groupy will "Restore" the group to its zone.
I've turned off "Automatically Group" for these apps.
It's a nice feature, though, that I'd like to use.

Is this a known issue?
Is there a fix?

  1. What application you use to splits into zones?
  2. Windows version, please use Winver.exe for full Windows version numbers.
  3. Groupy version.
