if you have skin studio, theres a little mini-app called Tweak Your Feel, there is an option in there to fix this. Tools>Tweak Your Feel>Miscellaneous>Maximized windows show borders.

Could also be the skin you are using having the screen clip set to run off the screen. Seen that in a couple of skins.

could be that u have it set to full screen. When the top does dissapear try hitting the F11 key

There is a setting in the .uis file which will remedy this situation, but I have no idea what it is. Hopefully a real skinner will appear soon

Yes I tried that MrGrupps, it only made my screen even bigger. I'm mananging to see the file, edit, view buttons etc, but the very top of the skin is cut off. The taskbar at the bottom of my screen seems a little larger than normal and maybe the cut off is due to that, I really don't know, but if it is I thought I.E would still display itself correctly. ( I'm using the 'Sammy' Window Blind by the way. )

What version of IE are you using? I had this problem a long time ago (before windowblinds even) and I fixed it by getting the new version. I am using 6.0 now. As time goes by, they tell me, the older versions will get more and more disfunctional. Perhaps you could run an IE repair?

I'm running version 6.0 too. I don't understand it coz it's a brand new OS, was only installed last week as I had to format my computer afyer getting a virus.

Also, how are your other programs functioning. And did you try unloading windowblinds to see if it corrects?

Are you running XP?

Also, what windowblinds version are you using?

This is way off the wall, but are you up-to-date on your critical updates? Some of the warnings they put out claimed browsers would not function correctly if you did not install the critical updates.

Another thing I would do is run an ON LINE virus scan... but that is mostly for my own peace of mind.

It is the same with or without Blinds.
Yes I'm running XP Pro.
Window Blinds version 3.3.
Yes, all my criticals are up to date and yes I've done a virus scan, no virus'.

Can you upload a screenshot anywhere?

Something that happens occasionally with my browser is the toolbar options unset themselves. Under view, you may be able to reset those if this is the case.

(you can tell I have been freaked out plenty in the past to have this many things to wonder about)

Maybe it is time to upgrade your windowblinds. There are new versions...

If you don't have a way to upload a screenshot, you can send it to me and I will upload it somewhere for you and link to it.

Another off the wall thing... one time I knew a lady who's screen was all messed up. She finally found out her toddler had opened the menu on her monitor and played with all those settings!

I wouldn't know how to take a screenshot hon. I'm sorry about this problem, it's doing my head in, but I thank you very much indeed for all your help. (((HUGSSS))).

On your keyboard, beside the f keys, is a print screen. Click that, then open any graphic program (even paint that came with your comp). Click edit, paste, then save as (jpg would be best), then just attach it in an email. click on my name, my email is there.

I agree with goodmorphing a screen shot would be useful in deciding what the problem is... but it sounds like MAYBE your IE is not maximized but the window is stretched larger then the screen resolution... if you right click the IE tab on the taskbar and choose maximize does it adjust itself. Some web page pop up adds have a habit of messing with this setting.
