AOL search

When I put words in aol search windows I get a busy or broken server message.
Does anyone know anything about this?
Searching in internet explorer still works and I tried google and that worked.
This is the second day I noticed this one aol.
Does anyone know what the deal is? Please if you know let me know.

I know this... AOL costs to much and it is way to slow. For the same price you pay for AOL I have High Speed Cable Internet Service and NO ISP. Contact AOL for help is all I can suggest.

Iben, when I used to have AOL I never used it's search engine or Internet browser, they are completely useless..
What I did instead was minimize AOL and use Internet Explorer...
Worked fine that way until I made the upgrade to cable...

Cable, High Speed? you bums, I don't even have cable were I live. Well it does run p a s t our place, but to bring in a line we need to fork over $1000.00 for a trunk feed, then we can hook up -fat chance.

So, can I come over to your house and play?

you are rightly welcome. And just in case you decide to step up to high speed internet (DSL, Cable, T1) then welcome to the broadband world my friend.

I have cable, and for back up (on the few rare occasions cable goes out) I have a net zero account. You would think that I would hate going to Net Zero after high speed cable, but its not that bad at all really, and for $9.95 a month, who can complain.

This morning I visited NetZero looking for a cheaper isp other than my free ride at AOL which expires next week, and I found this:

Can I play online multiplayer games using NetZero Platinum?

Unfortunately, many popular online games take up the whole screen when launched, a process that changes the screen resolution and/or covers the NetZero Platinum Toolbar. As outlined in the Terms of Service agreement, the NetZero software must remain uncovered on the desktop at all times of connection, therefore running certain games while online will cause your session to terminate.

Now I am wondering if this also pertains to using WC's Skinbrowser, because it indeed does cover the whole screen?

If so, i believe I will go ahead with Earthlink where I can get 6 months service for $10.95 per mo.

Any ideas or "bewares" from you experts here at WC?

WC's browser doesn't cover the whole screen the way a game does. It runs in a window, as any other application does.

But go for Earthlink anyway. For 1$ more, you can do what you want and not be forced to have adds on your screen at all times.

Thank you very much paxx

Just a small question, are we talking about the Skinbrower, because mine does cover the whole screen?

No matter, Earthlink was my first choice anyway, but the offer is only good until March 31, 03.

So it looks like I can bug everybody at WC for 6 more months, hahahaheheheh....

Thanks again paxx

Well, unless we have a different version, mine opens in a Window, and there is not even an option to make it full screen. It's maximized, but not ful screen. BTW: full screen means it covers the WHOLE screen, with no titlebar, no frames around it, covering the taskbar and the Start button.

Well today aol search is working again for me.
So I guess the problem was not my computer. Not that I really thought it was.
